Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

They are placing bowling balls in buckets at the top of rickety stairs so when our agents accidentally tip them up they will roll down and hit a plank, that hurls a guy into a tub, which will, through a further series of unlikely events cause a cage to come rattling down and potentially imprison our agents in the course of their duties.
I also understand they're heating door handles with electric charcoal starters, and are placing tiny toy cars at the base of stairways.

Hey, I saw that in a Holiday movie where, ironies of iroinise, Donnie had a cameo.....

ICE detained a Navajo man for 4 hours after he identified himself, offered his Tribal ID, Certificate of Indian Blood, and birth certificate.

They told him he must be stealing someone’s identity and that they would “get his family next.”

As he described it: “I was treated as if we haven’t earned our place here. This is our place. This is beyond racism, they hate us like we were pests and rodents in their home, but this is OUR home, and always has been.”

Ruling of US District Judge in Minnesota: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.mnd.229758/gov.uscourts.mnd.229758.85.0_1.pdf

Covered Federal Agents are hereby enjoined from:

  1. a. Retaliating against persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity, including observing the activities of Operation Metro Surge.
  2. b. Arresting or detaining persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity, including observing the activities of Operation Metro Surge, in retaliation for their protected conduct and absent a showing of probable cause or reasonable suspicion that the person has committed a crime or is obstructing or interfering with the activities of Covered Federal Officers.
  3. c. Using pepper-spray or similar nonlethal munitions and crowd dispersal tools against persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity, including observing the activities of Operation Metro Surge, in retaliation for their protected conduct.
  4. d. Stopping or detaining drivers and passengers in vehicles where there is no reasonable articulable suspicion that they are forcibly obstructing or interfering with Covered Federal Agents, or otherwise violating 18 U.S.C. § 111. The act of safely following Covered Federal Agents at an appropriate distance does not, by itself, create reasonable suspicion to justify a vehicle stop.
Definitely worth a read. I found it not surprising at all that DHS did not even enter into evidence any statements or testimony from any agents that were even present. Gee, I wonder why? They so authoritatively state they are being attacked by violent protesters but yet can't show the receipts in court. Where have we seen this tactic before?

Immigration officials ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ with a Navajo man is some next-level crackhead irony.

personal info of thousands of ice agents leaked to a watchdog group compiling a database of ice agents for public release

Skinner said ICE List will release “the majority” of names from the leak that the project can verify because “ICE and CBP are in clear need of reform, and I believe working for either is a bad move on a moral level.”

“We will make exceptions on a case-by-case basis, the best examples of which will be those who work in childcare within the agency, and nurses,” he told The Beast.

“There will be more exceptions, but we will have a discussion once the team flags a position as something we need to think twice about.”

And when warm weather comes, the terroristids will start spreading
banana peels! Actual empty banana skins on the streets of our cities!
Imagine -- try to visualize -- the tragic pratfalls our heroic ICE warriors will
suffer then! Louder than Laurel & Hardy, more immense than the 3 Stooges,
shattering beyond Abbott & Costello, they will suffer as only federal employees
can!

Prepare your empathy, citizens. You will need it.
The wine mom terrorists might also paint fake tunnel entrances on mountainsides, or rig devious traps that drop anvils on passing ICE vehicles.

Walz has activated the National Guard

Minnesota Department of Public Safety
@MnDPS_DPS
At Gov. Walz’s direction, the Minnesota National Guard have been mobilized and are staging to support local law enforcement and emergency management agencies

He should probably take a moment to check whether he's mobilized the Ational Guard by mistake.

Some good news from my neck of the woods:

NUMBER TEN (2026)
RESCISSION OF EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. FORTY SEVEN (2025)

Ensuring public safety in Virginia requires state and local law enforcement to be focused on their core responsibilities of investigating and deterring criminal activity, staffing jails, and community engagement. Since 2025, Virginians have been deprived of critical public safety resources due to the directives in Executive Order No. 47 (2025) that require and encourage state and local law enforcement to divert their limited resources for use in enforcing federal civil immigration laws. Federal authorities should enforce federal civil immigration laws—law enforcement in the Commonwealth should prioritize the safety and security of all residents in Virginia, the enforcement of local and state laws, and coordination with federal entities on criminal matters. Accordingly, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Governor under Article V of the Constitution of Virginia and under the laws of the Commonwealth, I hereby rescind Executive Order No. 47 (2025), which is not an appropriate use of state or local resources.
