Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

ICE agents just flash-banged and tear-gassed a 6-month-old baby.

ICE agents began tear-gassing a residential neighborhood after shooting a man nearby.

As the gas spread, a family got into their vehicle to escape the tear gas.

In the video, a man is seen standing in front of a car with airbags deployed on all sides, explaining that he told the agents he was trying to leave his house, with his family because of the tear gas.

Despite this, an agent threw multiple flash-bang grenades at the vehicle anyway… while children were inside.

Inside the van was a 6-month-old infant who stopped breathing after the attack. EMTs were called and taking the baby in an ambulance.

This was not a chaotic crowd encounter. The family was attempting to leave, not confront officers.

I count at least twenty of them. The masked agent in front is brandishing a loaded rifle and he appears to have his finger on the trigger. This doesn't look like law enforcement, it looks like a military operation. What is the point, other then sheer intimidation. The New York Times reports:

To have all of these agents in combat gear milling around in a residential street in an American city is unlike anything we've ever seen. This appears to me to be full-blown political repression. This is a city in a Blue State, a city with a mayor whom trump despises. This is no longer the America I knew.

Is it possible for Minneapolis to set up a curfew? Tell ICE and all residents that anybody on the streets past 9PM on foot or with cars not driving to or from work will be stopped and fined.
 
No, I think ICE, as federal officers, would be exempt from any local curfew. Plus, because of where we are, if Minneapolis even tried to enforce a curfew on federal agents, the trump regime would probably launch a violent retaliation.

They weren't afraid to show their faces either.


It's deliberate dehumanisation. People wearing masks feel more empowered to commit atrocities, and by covering their faces they're encouraging the people they face off against to see them as automatons rather than people. It's another nudge toward the violent response they want engineer to justify marshall law.

These organizations are already forming and in many cases already existed. These are the groups that Trump regime officials are dismissing and decrying as "domestic terrorists."
