Trump's Second Term

This is Trump's Truth Social comment on the murder of Rob and Michelle Reiner:

Trump hasn't got a shred of decency in his body. Two people were just murdered allegedly by their own son and Trump can't help insulting him while narcissistically praising himself and referring to himself in the third person. There is no indication whatsoever that politics had anything to do with this. Nick Reiner had a well-known drug problem and experienced homelessness many times.

Trump is an absolutely disgusting, miserable excuse for a human being and so are those who "retruthed' and "liked" this piece of garbage. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Stupid question about pennies (cause I'm too lazy to research it): How does this affect pricing? What happens to $1.99? Does it suddenly have to become $1.95? If so, you would think that would lower prices by 4 pennies...which probably would not be popular with merchants. ??
Since the penny has recently been discontinued (this is one thing that I don't necessarily disagree with Trump on), as a former department manager then store manager of a Dick's Sporting Goods before going into the gas industry then getting my CDL, I can say that, at least in retail, the pennies don't necessarily matter a whole lot. The .97, .98, .99 all meant different things in the retail world.

.99 is used purely as a psychological tool to make shoppers think that something is a lot cheaper than it is. When, for instance, you see a price tag of $39.99 instead of $40, it "looks" cheaper to a disengaged mind.

A price of $39.98 means (at least with Dick's), that it's a seasonal item at the end of the season. And is usually used in conjunction with an even cheaper price. Instead of that $40 item being $39.99, it would be discounted to more like $34.98 or something instead.

A .97 price tag means that its being discontinued permanently. It would have an even steeper discounted price. Something like $29.97.

It's all meant to increase the number of units sold. Not necessarily to penny-pinch every little cent they possibly can. While allowing everyone who works at the retailer to know what the plans are for any given item. A floor salesperson could just simply look at a price tag and know whether an item will be permanently discontinued, if it's a seasonal item being discontinued, or is a normal full-priced item. This helps the floor salesperson to make a better or more suitable sales pitch to an inquiring customer about this product vs. that. The $29.97 price tag would allow them to know that it's steeply cut in price and say something like: "Once this is gone, it's gone. We won't be getting it back," and that it's marked down whatever percent, like 25% or whatever.

Lindbergh, of course, was an actual Nazi. He'd have loved Trump.

Why do you say that?

He was certainly an isolationist but
After Pearl Harbor, he offered to reactivate his commission as a pilot but was rejected for his age.
Instead worked as a technical consultant for Ford on bomber production and for United Aircraft on Corsair performance.
United sent him to the Pacific as a technical representative where he flew with Marine and Army Air Corps units teaching pilots fuel conservation techniques for long range missions.
He flew in combat in Corsairs and Lightnings and is credited with shooting down a Japanese aircraft.

The people behind him in those videos must have enormous self control to stand there stone-faced.
I hope that's what he's going to say in court if it gets there
It won't.
ETA: My guess is the BBC will settle for something slightly less than what it would cost to defend the suit.
