In the Trump cabinet, you have Pete "get drunk and commit war crimes" Hegseth, Pam "I'm going to lose prosecution cases" Bondi, and Robert "Lets swim in this raw sewage" Kennedy.

Given a choice, I would prefer a cabinet of capable administrators that meets only a few times a year, over a bunch of screw-ups who meet more often.

I think if we can be hyper vigilant and protect the integrity of the elections, 2026 midterms will see an historical turnout, it will be a purging of stupidity in government. I would have liked to see that in TN yesterday, but the 10 point swing in the other direction was still a sign of things to come. Keep hope alive! :giggle:

I agree that in 2016 a lot of people simply got conned, but that excuse is simply not valid for the 2024 election. No one who is "pretty smart" didn't know exactly what kind of person Trump is by last November. No one who is "pretty smart" and heard four years of the "stolen election" rubbish, watched Jan. 6, listened to his racist and crazy rants about Somalis "eating the cats and dogs" or the myriad other insanities he spouts, and saw him convicted of sexual assault could still be conned by him. There are only two reason they voted for him last year: they LIKE what he says/does and/or they're just idiots.
