• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Does 'rape culture' accurately describe (many) societies?

...snip...

You talked previously about trust - so I'll ask you (without reference to anyone you know - so purely hypothetical): would you be happy leaving children in the care of someone you knew had a taste for barely legal (adult actors looking like children) porn?
In the UK there is no "barely legal" it is either legal or illegal. All your question is asking is if you would be happy leaving children in the care of someone you knew had a taste for legal porn.

Utah Division of Consumer Protection (regarding Aylo)
Consumers viewed, downloaded, and further distributed this illegal content millions of times, often without knowing it was CSAM or NCM.
Are we sure this is true?
The charge against Aylo by the FTC is of 'tens of thousands of videos'.

I'm as guilty as the next guy when it comes to using motte and bailey arguments when I'm figuring out what I really mean to say, but it seems to me that they make up the bulk of your posts on this subject and we are... (checks) 84 pages in.

Not according to Barnardos - which I have repeatedly posted here:

Pornographic content which is suggests sexual activity with children is extremely harmful but is rife on mainstream pornography sites. This content normalises children as objects of sexual desire and drives the demand for ‘real’ child sexual abuse material. Such content is banned from DVD, Blu Ray, and Video on Demand, but is rife across mainstream pornography sites.

If they are wrong, then please post a citation to that effect.

you can just go on a site and plainly see that's not the case. in fact, people in this thread have already done so.

However, other forms of harmful pornography that are regulated offline (in cinemas, for example) are not subject to similar restrictions online. This regulatory anomaly means adults role-playing as children to create pornography that appears close to child sexual abuse imagery is not prohibited online.

i'm not sure what you mean. ballnardo the king of police said child porn is rife on mainstream porn sites, yet you can go to them and see that's not true. i've been on them before, you can't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Look at the the question I am actually answering - i.e Darat's.

A task force is going to propose..... Blah, blah, blah..

I understand another task force in Alaska is going to propose a ban on the sale of blubber, before noon, on Sundays...

(PS A pornography taskforce? That reads a little weird.. No?

yeah i would leave my kids with someone who has seen barely legal porn. most sitter i've hired have been teenagers or young adults, so such an attraction would be completely age appropriate anyway.

and i still contend you're response is misleading

The assertion I rubbished: In the UK there is no "barely legal" it is either legal or illegal.

That is not addressing my post that you quoted.

Because they trusted Pornhub's T&Cs.
I am sorry but that is a load of rubbish. There is just no way someone seeing a 3-year-old being raped by a grown man could think that was legal pornography regardless of any T&Cs and thankfully in the UK it is a serious offence to watch such material.

I didn't mention 3 year olds.

Yes it is. You said:
In the UK there is no "barely legal" it is either legal or illegal.
And you did not address that, in the UK there is legal or illegal pornography, there is no "barely legal" nor "barely illegal" category. All you asked was whether someone would trust someone who watched legal pornography with children.
