Pete Hegseth's 'F.A.F.O.' catch phrase - for which he obviously expected a resounding response but got crickets
- reminds me of the corny business model slogans that go down a storm at business conferences. For example, business guru, Michael Porter, bringing the house down with his 'Adapt or Die!" speech, or his 'Five Forces Model', I mean us business guys love all this stuff: complex ideas crammed into a three-letter acronym (preferably, no more than three!) or a three-word catchphrase (e.g., JIT, FIFO, ROI, ROCE). But imagine a former alcoholic adulterer ex-Fox News host addressing highly educated military guys with, 'â—Šâ—Šâ—Šâ—Š About, Find Out!" when military training is about putting ideas and strategy into practice and motivating your troops, which takes years of talent-spotting and leadership training for those motivating leadership roles. This also means self-restraint and not immediately beating up someone who shouts, 'â—Šâ—Šâ—Šâ—Š Trump' in your face. But here's Hegseth telling US Generals it's OK to get into brawls with the public, or rough up callow new recruits, like drunken football hooligans or sadistic bullies. Hegseth scoffs disparagingly about 'beardos' and 'Nordic pagan warriors' yet, Segeth's own entire body is covered in Nordic/Germanic rune-like tattoos.
How very embarrassing!
