Yup yup. Trump signs a historic executive order to end childhood cancer and that'll be the end of the story. According to insane-wing propaganda. Nevermind all the cancer research and infrastructure allowed that cancer research to happen that he's already upended or destroyed, all the kids with cancer that he's acted to condemn to death, and so on.

These are evil, unserious people and the blood on their hands is great.

This talking point of theirs makes me expect that they're pointedly going after the Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act, either way.

They meaning Fox and the rest of the insane-wing propaganists? Yes. Stephan Miller and co? The evidence is lacking, both directly and when it comes to the need or cause to do so with others already handling that.

So the shutdown is nothing to do with the Dems at all. Trump wants to cause the shutdown so he can do more wrecking of the republic. It's not their impotent demands that'll cause any of this, it's just Trump deciding to do it and cause more suffering and destruction because that's what he wants.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to anyone here that this talking point from Trump, Vance, and Leavitt is a flat lie (ABC News via MSN):

Immigrants in the country without legal status are not eligible to get federally funded health insurance. But certain migrant groups in the “lawfully present” category are considered authorized immigrants, including lawful permanent residents, or green card holders. Asylum recipients and refugees could have been eligible for Medicaid and Obamacare subsidies, but they lost eligibility under Trump's spending and policy bill that he signed in July...

Democrats’ proposal would give access to federally funded health care back to “lawfully present” authorized migrants, but it does not give free coverage to those without legal status -- or "illegal aliens," as Vance and other Republicans claim.

This is not only a lie, it's an especially dishonest meme from a party that, if they had their way, would do away with the ACA and subsidies altogether for anyone- IOW, they don't think their own constituents, as American citizens, deserve to be treated any better than people who are not.
