I'm thinking the "cause" presented at the press conference will be environmental, perhaps the mother taking certain medications such as acetaminophen during pregnancy, and, of course, vaccines. The conclusions will be rejected by every scientist who studies autism.

That takes me back to a Republican friend of mine arguing that "fair" news coverage meant 50% positive coverage and 50% negative coverage. That certain Republicans getting so much negative coverage was proof about how biased the media is. I don't think I really need to point out how very deeply wrong that stance is here.

It's one of the most effective lines of attack the anti-vaxxers have (despite being absolutely ridiculous). And it's a whole bunch of anti-vaxxer alternative "medicine" shills* advising TACO on medical matters.

*Meaning they're actually shilling for big pharma.
