Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

“Radicalized” after one semester of USU is like saying you became an alcoholic from one dose of NyQuil.
Sadly, this belief is actually out there. I have LDS in-laws who actually believe that even one drink will make you an alcoholic.

eta: I guess for some people one drink is all it takes to expose alcoholism. However those in-laws believe that one drink may make anyone an alcoholic.

Where does one draw the line? We have the famous example of not shouting fire in a theater. Words *do* cause harm, in certain situations.
If one runs into a Harlem club and starts shouting the 'N' word at everyone, and them someone takes a swing at you--should you play the 'victim card'? Cause legally, in most cases you could, it is considered a criminal assault, despite the incitement. Yet the assaulter typically would not be sentenced to a long jail sentence or death, unless he was in Trump's new America.
A few years ago First Amendment scholar Ken White said that people were taking the pulse of the "fighting words" exception to free speech. Your example might rekindle the debate.

You're aware that Trump quotes Hitler in his rallies, right? Maybe if he'd stop doing that we'd stop being confused.
No, and neither is Google AI: "Donald Trump does not explicitly quote Adolf Hitler in his rallies. However, he has faced criticism for using language and themes that critics and historians say echo those used by Hitler and other authoritarian figures."

You just made that up.

So when Trump says "immigrants are poisoning the blood of the country" That's ok, cause he did not say "To quote my idol Adolf, 'immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country"
Got it.

No, you don't get it. Hitler never said "Immigrants (or Jews) are poisoning the blood of our country."

I like how your defense of Trump is that he didn’t quote Hitler, he just talks like him.

God ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ dammit with this trans ◊◊◊◊ in every ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ thread. Does it never ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ die? Can't it be contained to that one bull ◊◊◊◊, never ending thread. Jesus ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Christ.

See how that works? I was using it as ONE ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ EXAMPLE among the many I also used, to show how free speech is abrogated.
Calm the ◊◊◊◊ down FFS!!
