Merged why the release of names associated with Epstein mean little to absolutely nothing.

He was apparently charming/manipulative enough to give his pursuer Brad Edwards a crisis of conscience about going after him in 2019. I haven't read Edwards' book. But I read in an article once that he and Epstein met several times privately, sometimes at Starbucks, spoke on the phone, etc. while they were opposing parties in a lawsuit. Pretty wild.

If he could make the lawyer who once considered him "the most dangerous sexual predator in U.S. history" feel bad about working with the government against him, I doubt it'd be too difficult for Epstein to make contact and have dinner once or twice with Noam Chomsky, Bill Gates, bankers, models, actors, etc. most of whom he wasn't super close with anyway.
 
he appears to have acted as a liaison between some of them and jp morgan, generating millions in fees for himself in the process, which is why they were so reluctant to drop him as a client despite the numerous giant glowing red flags he was involved in international sex trafficking.

It reminds me of the haunted looks a bunch of celebrities got on their faces when asked about Sean Combs' "parties", before they became public knowledge. Seems like they all knew exactly what was going on.

Now the Democrats seem to be leaning into the same theories from the other side.

The truth is much more likely to be far more prosaic than that. There is no Epstein list, and that his victims were primarily trafficked by him and Maxwell for their themselves.
 
It never even occurred to me that a woman was actually being sold. It's the attitude to women evident from this "joke" which is, to borrow a phrase, disgusting and deeply disturbing.

There's nothing here that's as disgusting as the "grab them by the pussy" quote, though. We've all known what Trump's attitude to women was since before he was elected the first time, and there has been ample confirming evidence since. Clearly his cult don't care.

I'm sure some are. But let's look at this through Trump’s history. He has been a notorious womanizer his entire life. Go listen to some of his interviews with Howard Stern. They would make your skin crawl. He ran teen beauty contests and went into the changing rooms while the girls were changing. He's the one who said you can grab them by the pussy. Multiple women said he sexually assaulted him. And he just lost the defamation lawsuit for calling Jean Harris a liar when she said he sexually assaulted him.

Do we take him at his word in the 90s or now?

Mhmm.

I'm beginning to wonder whether Ghislaine Maxwell was even given a fair trial. There's been so much manipulation from the media, from accusers, from lawyers, from blowhard politicians who run with the QAnon narrative. Epstein's death spawned an entire industry of grifters you almost can't trust anything written about the case since then.

Of course, I completely agree that Trump is a despicable sex offender who is drenched in sleaze and corruption. He’s a thoroughly ◊◊◊◊◊◊ human.

I just don’t understand why there are articles about people who appear in photographs when the person in question says they had no sexual relations with Epstein or Trump.

Agreed. If I were to join in the speculation, it's more likely that Epstein knew a lot about Trump's finances and businesses, and Epstein may have helped Trump in some dodgy deals.

I think Epstein committed suicide because the Democrats were so keen to prosecute anyone with a Trump connection, and he didn't think he'd get a fair trial, and he couldn't prove any negatives, and he and Maxwell probably knew about some under age women at his island who had sex there. He and Trump probably had sex with under age women, but Epstein didn't realise his party lifestyle technically amounted to trafficking until in jail facing the full force of the Democrats.

He had been convicted for sex crimes before.

Also, he committed suicide in prison while Trump was president, not the Democrats!

That's one of the problems with runaway speculation. You can make up anything you want even when it directly conflicts with the facts.

I think it's much simpler: Epstein and Trump are both creeps who get their rocks off from exerting power over others - they probably were as close to friends as pathological narcissists can be.

the times jp morgan article linked provides some informaton about the business side of things. esptein appears to have acted as a go between for quite a few wealthy people and that bank, so much so that they ignored all their safeguards against aiding crime for a very long time. he then went on to do the same with deutch bank.

seems to me a lot of people were comfortable with being aware of his actions and ignoring them because it benefitted them. seems to me he also shared his victims with some of his friends and business partners on occasion. it doesn't seem like he charged directly for that. as far as recordings and blackmail and all that, perhaps. he had a weird interest in surveillance and had cameras installed at his places and had hundreds of videos when the fbi raided him. the contents of those vidoes are a mystery, maybe he just liked recording himself.

not thing, secrets. and by the looks of that book, his love of women was hardly a secret. it's the only thing anybody talked about. seemed to be his entire personality.

i don't think that was a check for a woman, i think it was a display of how they viewed these women. objects to be obtained through wealth.

i think part of the jeffery epstein experience for the rich was he'll help you make some connections, and he'll share some young, some maybe too young, hot women with you. and in return he'll get some money in fees and such from the banks, who he had people in his corner there that ignored all the evidence because he was bringing in so many wealthy clients.

not exactly as flashy as qanon, but still pretty ugly stuff.
