Trump's Second Term

OMFG! Tell me you don't see what I see?

...That is exactly WHY I think it is so important that people boo and jeer loudly when trump appears. A way for citizens to let the world see first-hand that trump has far from universal support within the United States.

From the New York Times:
There was little demonstrable cheering or booing when Mr. Trump entered the main seating area at 2:30 p.m. for the national anthem. But when he was shown on the video screens, fans unleashed a loud round of mostly boos, with some cheers mixed in. The president was on the screens only briefly, as he stood and saluted. Because of enhanced security for trump, the Open started over forty-five minutes late, with hundreds of fans still waiting to get in.

I see Jared Kushner but I don't see Melania.

I thought only people who'd served in uniform were supposed to salute? You know, as opposed to draft dodging fascism enablers engaged in undermining the constitution.

Blondie is there.
I can't think of a bleaker, more depressing lifestyle than having to travel from Washington to New York City on a Sunday to attend the US Open with your boss, donald trump. Like I wrote previously, you don't have to be crazy to work for donald trump but it sure does help.

Well, there are no specific rules about the president saluting. But, it has been practice for a few decades for the president to return salutes from members of the armed forces who initiate a salute. (I remember Fox news going nuts because Obama dared return a salute when he had something in his hand., ignoring of course the fact that Bush had done the same thing.)

My question is, is Trump's salute 'correct'? I am not in the military, but it seems like his hand is too far 'inward'.

I was in the military, the US Army, and no that draft-dodging piece of garbage is NOT saluting properly. Salute? He looks like he's shielding his eyes from the sun. From Google AI
Stand at attention, raise your right hand smartly, placing the tip of your middle finger on the edge of your hat or just above your right eyebrow if not wearing a hat. Fingers should be together and straight, the palm slightly tilted so it's not fully visible from the front, the wrist straight, and the elbow slightly inclined forward. To end the salute, bring your hand down smartly to your side.

I don't care how or who, as long as it's soon. Baring, of course, that the rest of us don't have to go in the process.

The Avengers fought a one-shot villain back in the 1970s, an arrogant businessman who found out he was terminally ill and decided there was no reason for the world to continue to exist if he wasn't in it. He had a device created that would destroy the world when he died.
For some reason, I keep thinking of that character. I'm not sure why.
