I suspect there are some ambitious people around Trump who don't want to be second fiddle again. Obviously Vance is the heir, but I doubt he's got the appeal to the MAGA crowd as Trump, so there is room for a split.

At least, I hope so.

I like his closing thought that as they think Trump is chosen by God for this Great Work, he wouldn't be stopped by anything natural, so any successor must be due to regicide.

Might be amusing to see if "Trump is being kept out of sight/ killed by the Deep (derp?) State" gains traction amongst them.

Wasn't she more extreme than Johnson? Stocks fell like rocks when she started implementing her politics. Trump also managed to damage US economy, but I doubt that Vance will make it worse. Being intelligent, and without ideology, he'll modify those politics that are damaging to his power grab.
