For all those that wonder how on earth so many people have such an inacurate view of Trump. It's this. This is why. Absolute and total ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ sold as news with no questions asked or answered.

Only a tiny bit of context, though, is needed to show how misplaced that "ewwww" is. For both Obama and Biden, a huge proportion of that spending is directly attributable to the massive Republican economic disaster that they had to work to clean up. The Republicans that caused those disasters, of course, received the economy in good condition from the Democrats.

It should also be noted that while debt was added under both Obama and Biden, the deficit decreased under both of them. (So while the debt was added to, it was done so at a slower rate.) On the other hand, the deficit went up ever year Trump was in office in his first term.

More importantly though... the democrats typically do not make a big issue of deficits/debt. They don't make big campaign promises on the issue, they don't adjust their policies to deal with it, etc. On the other hand, for many republicans it is the biggest issue facing the country. They propose slashing popular social programs because "the country can't pay for it", they refuse to pass legislation if they don't get their way. Yet the debt continues to rise under them.

If you campaign on doing something (and fail), it is a lot worse than if you never promise to do something in the first place.

Sounds like they've been batting around ideas and just thought up an excuse for why tariffs weren't a great idea during Trump 1.0: somebody's said blame Covid-19. Tell 'em we were being kind to all those afflicted countries when they couldn't afford to send us boatloads of cash, but now they must kowtow and send tribute to the Great One.


By the way, has anyone worked out what this trillion dollars is that the EU is allegedly sending Trump? Is it really just foreign investment? I mean, if I invest a trillion dollars in stuff in your country, that's not a donation. That's me buying ownership of stuff in your country. Trump gets that, right? The business genius, who suddenly thinks partial nationalisation of private businesses isn't socialism, that guy gets it, does he?

He's getting carried away now. Even some of the faithful will raise an eyebrow at that whopper. I mean seriously, garage? Trump doesn't have any friends who even park their own car. The driver just takes it away and deals with that stuff.

The scandal I want investigated is why Washington was spending (presumably) many millions per year on the upkeep of empty parks nobody dared to use?

And what's the scam with the city having all these restaurants open when nobody ever used them? That's got to be suspicious. If only there were some nearby marauding gangs of FBI agents who could look into this mystery.

They weren't doing a very good job on the parks.
Donald says all the grass is worn out and needs replacing. He knows more than anyone about grass.

It's not - its classic fascism. They exert control over companies so they are no threat to the dictator/state, the companies will be directed to do what the state wants them to do, companies are beholden to state interest if they want to continue to trade.
