Fascism might be an imperfect description for Trump's ideology* but it fits as well or better than the other ism's.

That said, I consider ahhell to have integrity and he's made it clear he dislikes Trump, and your comment is out of bounds.

We must beware of the Conservative habit of literalism, in which if what you call something is not exactly what was done or said down to the spelling, it's worthless. He's not exactly a fascist, not exactly a Communist, not exactly this or that, but if what he is is just another evil that needs a new name, it counts.

Of course that doesn't break both ways. Conservatives are happy to throw around all kinds of epithets that don't literally apply.

On its own nothing is a distinguising feature of fascicm

(ab)using free speech to send an endless stream of lies about opponents.
(ab)using your power once in government to stifle critisism
having a nominal democracy being led by the whims of a strongman
using the state apparatus to intimidate and persecute a minority group
purging the army and civil services of non-loyalists
banning books that are 'morally wrong'
restriciting critical thinking on universities and schools and replacing the curricullum with a 'nationalist truth'
Ignoring legislation that is inconvenient and (threathening to) replace judges with ones loyal to the regime
revoking long standing treaties unilaterally
restricting the rights of women to their own bodies
promoting the need to take neighbouring countries 'for the national security'
controlling art to stop decadent art.
supporting other dictators in their wars
hyper focus on nationalism, lots of flags etc.

None of these alone are actions distinguishing fascism.
They are also all actions taken in short duration by the Nazi regime during their takover.
Do they sound familiar in any way?
 
Some of those are a bit too specific but one I would add is putting one's group, whether nation, ethnicity, race, over others in a natural hierarchy. No man-made laws can stop you if you can get away with it. In other words, might makes right and social Darwinism.

I'd lied about my weight on my driver's license. I expect to be picked up any day now and deported to El Salvador. Or maybe Guantanamo.
