Should sanctuary cities be tolerated?

People who come to the US border are not entitled to Due Process.
Wow. You really don't get it. Everyone, and I mean everyone should receive due process. It's what makes America special. We are a nation of laws and principles. Not a nation of people. It might be inconvenient at times. But, the idea we should ever abandon our principles makes us less.

You are only entitled to due process once you enter the United States.

There is a thread discussing "due process" in the USA, use that thread if you wish to discuss due process in the USA.

So wait, if the undocumented immigration is good for the country over all and only a financial burden on the states or cities that are allowing them, what is the problem?

Anyways...

Sanctuary Cities should not refuse to assist with the enforcement of federal laws.

Criminalizing the enforcement of federal law, that must bring sanctions.

Did you SERIOUSLY just ask that?

States have no power to reject illegal aliens being present on their soil.

But they can choose the assist with the deportation. That's why "sanctuary cities" is a right-wing talking point. Cities are simply choosing not to assist.

No, many Liberal cities and States have literally declared themselves to be "sanctuary" cities or states.

Yes, and I told you what that means. They do not expend resources to assist with ICE raids. Which is their choice.

If they are choosing to bear what you seem to believe is such a horrible burden, and the rest of the country benefits from it, what is your problem?

Its a stupid choice, as illegal aliens are a financial burden on local resources. They also contribute to crime.

And we found a few more right-wing talking points you just happened to fall for.

There's an Onion headline about a man's encounter with homosexuals that I would post here, but it's quite the TOS violation.

But its their choice. Which also benefits the rest of the country.

Except they don't. Immigrant communities, both documented and undocumented, are significantly less likely to commit a crime than natural born citizens. Which has been demonstrated to you before. Still, you insist on pushing Replacement theory.
That is a lie, I have never mentioned that theory, I dont subscribe to it.

Illegal aliens contribute to crime in the USA, which is another reason why they should not be here.

If there are 20 million illegals in the USA and they have committed say 1,000 murders in the last 20 years, that's 1,000 people that would still be alive in the USA if they had instead been deported.

Any contribution to crime in the USA is a bad contribution.

And yet overall, they do neither. Illegal aliens on average commit far less crime than natural born citizens do. Why are you so selective?

Do they commit crime??? Yes.

Crimes that would NOT have been commited if they were not here.

Duhhhh...
