On the lack of fraud and spending abuse he saw
I did not find the federal government to be rife with waste, fraud and abuse. I was expecting some more easy wins. I was hoping for opportunity to cut waste, fraud and abuse. And I do believe that there is a lot of waste. There's minimal amounts of fraud. And abuse, to me, feels relatively nonexistent. And the reason is — I think we have a bias as people coming from the tech industry where we worked at companies, you know, such as Google, Facebook, these companies that have plenty of money, are funded by investors and have lots of people kind of sitting around doing nothing.

On Musk, what more was he expecting to get from Trump that he did not get? Are the tax cuts no benefit, as he is already too wealthy? That is, tax is irrelevant, only manipulation of his industries was the goal?

We know that the very, very wealthy pretty much decide what tax they are willing to pay, I think the tax cuts proposed in the bill are for the merely very wealthy.

it’s funny that he was drawing upon all the fraud, waste, and abuse he’s seen in tech and assumed it must exist in the public sector as well.

people seem to forget that cutting spending and being efficient is something public sector employees have been dealing with since the governments inception. if there’s any fraud, waste, and abuse you’re much more likely to find it in private sector contracts abusing government funds. aka, tech. imo
 
the dems are nuts if they are not drawing up some kind of subpoena for elon to testify in front of congress
 
This could well go badly for Trump, like a casino. Someone has to figure out some kind of "deal" for him so it does not look so bad when he fizzles into a dark lump and only is seen golfing to the "end."
 
I doubt this will work out for Musk. Trump is likely to "win" this. Trump has the cult, which while less enthusiastic of late is still there and would love a new target to aim their rage at. Musk has far fewer techbro fanbois to draw upon for support.

Musk has already stated that Trump is on the Epstein files, but the cult knows this and simply doesn't care (or at least covers themselves with paper-thin excuse). So that's hardly a big hammer for Musk.

Musk can drop his funding of the GOP, which was probably going to happen anyway.

If Musk somehow provides evidence of him actually manipulating the election to get Trump a win - but I still have strong skepticism about this being a thing and the GOP and cult won't care.

His starting a 3rd party would actually be the best outcome for Democrats.

I don't think Musk has revealed even half of Donny's "secrets". Having been intimately involved in the Trump admin since before the election, I reckon he has a full locker of juicy incriminating stuff that he can drip-feed over many months. I don't think we have even reached the "horse's head in the bed" stage yet.
 
yeah i hope so. elon is also kind of a moron.

if anything i would guess he has some stolen election evidence. otherwise elon probably just got played.
