it's early, these guys are investing trillions of dollars into making sure ai can be exactly as racist as you want, or pretend to be an entire social media network so you're never lonely. all while finding a way to manipulate you and jam as many ads down your throat as possible. that's the american tech industry. let the chinese develop batteries and robotics.

He means built with Rust which is a programming language, not an architecture.
And I'm not sure why he means by "Bitcoin style encryption". Bitcoin uses cryptography to sign transactions, not encrypt them. And it uses a fairly standard elliptic curve public key system. This is nothing new. In fact he is describing features that WhatsApp (just one example) has had for ages.

Still no because Rust builds to standalone executables and not something that needs to be run in anything like a JVM or LE enclave.

I mean the architecture of the system the code is running. It could be any langauge but the whole way their chat works has been changed.
He was just trying to sound "techie", what has happened is they have coded a new messaging app.

Yes, I think this Xchat is actually completely new. I don't think there was a chat in Twitter (could be wrong though). Somebody probably told Musk "it's written in Rust, it uses elliptic curve cryptography similar to Bitcoin's and it's a new architecture" i.e. it's a new system. He's scrambled that in his ketamine fogged brain and ◊◊◊◊ it out as a tweet.
