Who the ◊◊◊◊ cares, frankly.
He will and it would be nice to think that his association with Trump has consequences that will hurt him.

I'd expect Bezos has been super-careful to keep the ◊◊◊◊ away from Trump at all opportunities, and dealt with the Trump Admin at only critically necessary times and then only at a very long barge-pole's distance. Indeed, those are the kinds of issues that ordinary review is supposed to uncover. If you are a principal officer candidate, the Senate is supposed to ask you about them and decide whether your answers make you fit for the job. Elon Musk circumvented all the proper and normal controls for service as an important official in government. Yes, we could all see that he was unfit for government service. Since he fired people indiscriminately who did meet the stringent requirements, he should be held accountable. And it should be done in civil action so that Pres. Trump can't just pardon him out of trouble.Anne Applebaum@anneapplebaum@journa.host
Musk destroyed the US civil service, abruptly cancelled aid programs around the world, killing people and damaging US soft power. His teams stole data, harmed science, broke the law. "I was on drugs and had family issues" is not an excuse
