He will and it would be nice to think that his association with Trump has consequences that will hurt him.
I'd expect Bezos has been super-careful to keep the ◊◊◊◊ away from Trump at all opportunities, and dealt with the Trump Admin at only critically necessary times and then only at a very long barge-pole's distance. Bezos is smart; he knows Trump is kryptonite for his brand.

Elon Musk had to leave under the conditions of the employment he purported. As a "temporary" government employee, he can only work a certain number of days out of a year in order to keep it temporary.

As to whether he'll want to come back and/or be asked back, I certainly can't read those tea leaves. From my perspective, Musk's foray into politics didn't work out like he expected. He wasn't successful at it, and it soured his business reputation.

Let's hope his association with the orange bastard permanently makes his enterprises stink on ice.
I have some of the SpaceX shirts from "before we know Musk was cray-cray", and am tempted to deface one or two with "Like the rockets --hate the owner".

well elon leaving the white house is a bit of a wild card. he’s a moron that can’t stop putting his foot in his mouth, what’s he going to do when trump starts bashing him publicly

well certainly rooting for his downfall as well

Musk did not know people run on food.
Musk apparently did not anticipate that it would be bad PR for the world’s richest man to take food and medicine from the world’s poorest children. The Post reported that he hadn’t foreseen “the intensity of the blowback to his role in politics over the past year.” He’s been doing a series of interviews that Axios called an “image rehab tour.”

Musk destroyed the US civil service, abruptly cancelled aid programs around the world, killing people and damaging US soft power. His teams stole data, harmed science, broke the law. "I was on drugs and had family issues" is not an excuse
Indeed, those are the kinds of issues that ordinary review is supposed to uncover. If you are a principal officer candidate, the Senate is supposed to ask you about them and decide whether your answers make you fit for the job. If you are an inferior officer, Titlle 5 gives the legal requirements for employment that would be tested when you apply. Elon Musk circumvented all the proper and normal controls for service as an important official in government. Yes, we could all see that he was unfit for government service. Since he fired people indiscriminately who did meet the stringent requirements, he should be held accountable. And it should be done in civil action so that Pres. Trump can't just pardon him out of trouble.

another vindication for the haters. claims about his obvious drug use and addict behavior were completely accurate, he is a drug addict moron. i hope he continues to spiral and takes the rest of them down with him.

wait until we get into the financial crimes. the tesla board cashing out hundreds of millions in stock while the retail investors will end up holding the bag should be next too.
