General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

The imprisonment of Lucy Connolly has been passed onto Marco Rubio by Charlie Kirk and he is now 'reviewing it'

This is catastrophic for Keir Starmer apparently.

This is the main gammon talking point today.

Then again both are mostly due to the actions of the last Conservative government.
Well yes, in the sense that they stopped handing out visas at a record level, but its still a significant change and the numbers are like to remain down or drop given the new policies enacted.

Again, which gammons? Where? It's just as easy to conclude you are making stuff up as these elusive gammons are.

How about the Telegraph for a start?

The case of a mother jailed for a social media post about the Southport attacks has been raised with the White House.
In an extraordinary step, her arrest has now been raised with Marco Rubio, the US secretary of state, The Telegraph understands.
It is the latest case to be raised with officials in Washington, who are increasingly concerned about freedom of expression in Britain.
Charlie Kirk, a Maga influencer and ally of Donald Trump said Lucy Connolly’s case proved free speech in the UK was dead.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Kirk said he would raise Connolly’s case with the Trump administration, adding: “I’m going to bring this up to Marco Rubio [the US secretary of state]. I’m going to send him a text.”

I hope trump can punish him in someway ,even if it affects us in the short term I will take that.

Let’s hope Trump summons Starmer to the oval office and confronts him with all the facts like he did with the South African President.

Trump & his allies are the best friends that the British people have, but yet there are so many idiots in the UK who want to rejoin the autocratic EU which is just jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

@LozGreatley
@realDonaldTrump, I hope this is true, & Starmer is invited to White House to discuss a 'trade deal' & topic turns to Emma McAteer,
Wayne O'Roarke, Peter Lynch, Tommy Robinson, Lucy Connolly + 575 'summer rioters' charged. Together with all other who have suffered #TwoTierJustice.

It's a sad day when British people have to look to America for our liberties, but we're grateful for Secretary of State @marcorubio for raising Lucy Connolly's case with Britain.

America is concerned about freedom of speech in Britain. It seems @charliekirk11 has made direct contact with Rubio.

Donald has advice for Starmer and the UK

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump.
Our negotiated deal with the United Kingdom is working out well for all. I strongly recommend to them, however, that in order to get their Energy Costs down, they stop with the costly and unsightly windmills, and incentivize modernized drilling in the North Sea, where large amounts of oil lay waiting to be taken. A century of drilling left, with Aberdeen as the hub. The old fashioned tax system disincentivizes drilling, rather than the opposite. U.K.'s Energy Costs would go WAY DOWN, and fast!

Don't forget it's the National Strike tomorrow.

It will bring all the major towns and cities to a standstill apparently.

Dear @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk Please summon @Keir_Starmer to your Oval Office and show the world how he’s killing the UK. Free speech. We don’t have any.
Lucy Connolly Appeal denied yet in our country paedophilia is almost de-criminalised. Rapists and paedophiles walk free from court.
Migrants raping and living violently are not deported on the most stupid of reasons, they are happy to put lives at risk of ordinary British people.
His migrants get every comfort paid for while we’re taxed to oblivion.
Living in the UK is hell.
All because of Starmer and his government.
We need help.

It's good to know how many folk are happy with someone threatening them with violence and death, especially if it is a threat made on the basis of their skin colour, as it is "free speech". Very good to know who I could threaten and they would be perfectly fine with it.

And Naomi Ripley could just sod off somewhere else, as I'm certain she is highly skilled at something and would be accepted readily in some other country as a valued contributor to the economy and society at large. Go, Naomi, fly!

Given arson can carry a sentence of life, and making threats to kill is also a criminal offence, what part of urging people to burn down hostels with the asylum seekers inside is in any way innocuous? She pleaded guilty to the offence of public disorder (or whatever it was), had special reports done - you know, the ones which are supposed to favour pregnant women and immigrants - yet still the judge found her behaviour abhorrent enough to justify her sentencing. Yet Piers Morgan is claiming it was just a tweet that she soon deleted. I mean, this woman was a childminder to - she says - Somali children, yet here she is wanting them burnt to death in their beds. Not a nice ordinary mum at all.
