Trump's Second Term

As of the close of the day on April 20, my positive/negative score on the Trump administration stands at -506.

20 April 2025

-1: Trump’s “Happy Easter” message takes a swipe at people he doesn't like [158]
-1: Trump: “Nobody has done more for Christianity, no one has done more for religion of all types than me.”
-1: Headline: Former Pentagon official warns department’s dysfunction could topple Hegseth (Politico)

Reference

158. Trump: “Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges...”

19 April 2025
-1: Headline: Trump administration plans to end the IRS Direct File program for free tax filing, AP sources say (AP News)
-1: Headline: After remarkable Supreme Court rebuke, Trump administration slams ‘meritless litigation’ (Politico)
-1: Headline: US halts construction of giant wind farm off New York coast (BBC)
-1: Headline: Trump Officials Blame Mistake for Setting Off Confrontation with Harvard (New York Times)
-1: Trump: “You can have all the eggs you want. We have too many eggs. In fact, if anything the prices are getting too low.”
-1: Pope ghosts JD Vance at Vatican, sends top cardinal to lecture VP on compassion (Daily Boulder)
At this point, Trump will need to dig deep to get some positive points. Maybe sack his entire cabinet and shoot himself in a bunker?

The constant turnover of staff and administrators is part of the ◊◊◊◊-show. Few of these idiots will be around in a year, much less four. The only thing we can count on is that they will be replaced only by people at least as unqualified and despicable as they are.
Or worse, if that is conceivable.

Even as a non-American, it seems ridiculous that US military forces are being SO badly served by their own Defense Department. As it is, the Trump administration has picked the dregs of the worst possible candidates...then thrown them aside in favour of people who don't even measure up to that standard.

Is this for real, or a joke? I can't find any news on this. 23 year old kid with no military experience appointed to Pete "Otis" Hegseth's staff? Is he one of Muskrat's kids?

Anyway, enjoy the comments. :)

It's a damning indictment of Donald Trump and his administration that stuff like this is plausible even if it's completely made up.

Alexa: Give me a name that guarantees the person is living on a trust fund and Daddy's contact book.

Seems to be genuine. His father is a member of the Florida house of representatives, Ryan Chamberlin. (When did they lose the 'a' from Chamberlain?)

ChatGate part 2????

Hegseth shared military plans against Houthis with his wife, brother and lawyer on Signal chat.
BBC report on it

Hegseth shared Yemen attack details in second Signal chat, reports say

A shining endorsement for home schooling (presuming the comments have that correct).

And it's probably indicative of what an asset he will be to the DoD that having made a clear error (conflating "to be reckoned with" and "not to be trifled with") that he instinctively digs his heels in and insists he's right. Like so many great military minds from history who defiantly charged blindly on when it was obvious to all they were making an elementary blunder. Kid will go far.

On 16 April The New Republic wrote, "“Another incredible discovery,” Labor Secretary Loria Cahez-DeRemer wrote on X, following DOGE’s investigation reveal. It turns out this “incredible discovery” was just another false claim from the billionaire used to justify his egregious attack on low-income people across the country."

The story is not easy to summarize, but my point is that if you have evidence of fraud, it should be heard in open court. Putting charges on X is just done for publicity.
