Merged Due process in the US

In a 2003 article Professor David Cole wrote, "There are strong normative reasons for the uniform extension of these fundamental rights. As James Madison himself argued, those subject to the obligations of our legal system ought to be entitled to its protections:

t does not follow, because aliens are not parties to the Constitution, as citizens are parties to it, that whilst they actually conform to it, they have no right to its protection. Aliens are not more parties to the laws, than they are parties to the Constitution; yet it will not be disputed, that as they owe, on one hand, a temporary obedience, they are entitled, in return, to their protection and advantage.17

While Madison's view was not without its critics, his view prevailed in the long run.I8"

Trump was trying to get the ball rolling on this back during his presidency when he advocated no due process prior to curtaining 2nd Amendment rights. https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4717030/user-clip-donald-trump-take-guns-first-due-process-second

But it failed to catch on. But now it seems that the idea of no due process is gaining some more traction.

"We have to make sure that we get that border under control. I've been to that border many times. It's insanity," Spartz said as the crowd booed. "When you seek asylum, wait in the other country ... There is no due process if you come here illegally because you violated the law. Period! You violated the law, you are not entitled to due process."
Most people understand that a person needs due process for their claim as a citizen to be recognized. I think this is an alien concept to the MAGA. All people in the USA are entitled to due process per the Constitution, even if they are aliens and criminals. A person might think that Trump would be especially appreciative of criminals getting their due process. :) But he is not that generous when it comes to dealing fairly with his constituents.

Members of Congress are entitled to be immune from "arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same". For this to work, Spartz needs due process. https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artI-S6-C1-2/ALDE_00013354/

But she seems to be forgetting that the rest of us in the country are also entitled to due process. https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/articles/amendment-xiv/clauses/701
The Fourteenth Amendment, which prohibits the states from depriving “any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.”

The Constitution is a nice thing to have. But some people want to deprive us of our civil rights and are very vocal and proud of it.
