Trump's Second Term

i dont think he has any reason to feel offended by reading generalized criticism of republicans. however you choose to identify, it’s a voluntary choice to do so. heavy weighs the crown.

anyway i think amy strange is nice.

Thank you but damn you because now you've got me crying.

And just to reiterate, and not because of your post, but just in case anyone thinks that I'm a girl. AmyStrange is actually a character (a talking Cat) in my novels.

Someone who doesn't vote for ANY republicans at this point, but is still a registered republican? (which means they aren't directly supporting Trump or the republican, but you are still giving moral support for Trump and his klan by giving a false indication of republican strength)
What does this even mean?
People who are registered republicans tend to vote republican.

If all of a sudden thousands/millions of disgruntled voters changed their affiliation from republican to democrat/independent/etc. it might make the heads of the republican party think "We are losing support. Maybe we should change our policies". Stay as a republican, and the party will think "we must be doing something right because people are willing to stay associated with a party that elected a racist con-artist and convicted felon with multiple failed businesses as its leader".

Even if you don't vote for ANY republican (president/congress critter/state-level representatives/etc.) they will still take your continued political affiliation as a sign of acceptance.

.

exactly how it worked out

japan, south korea and china meet to form a joint response to the tariffs. even if he pulls back, sick of uncertainty and threats they likely want to keep pursuing more stable trade partners and go ahead with regional trade deals.
See!? Trump is good for the world! He’s got all these old enemies to bury the hatchet and work together!

Well, I don't. As a matter, I rarely vote republican, and I don't give a flying ◊◊◊◊ what other willfully stupid and ignorant people think, except when someone calls me a nazi or thinks I'm on the side of the fat clown and his maga weirdoes?

If they do, then obviously, they've never read any of my post, because then they'd know I'm not.

All I'm really guilty of is being honest.

ETA: Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread, so if anyone else wants to continue this discussion, go here:

I'm absolutely sure he's going to back out of the tariffs, with some lame excuse and twist that they caved because of him (even if they don't) so he doesn't have to do it. Then profit on the stock market bounce.
He is all in. IMHO this is is real life method of getting anything done. Circle around, make some probing forays, then all in. His language says it all. He is committed to doing this as Trump the King.

He says that the initial tariffs are 'working' and he feels that his success so far vindicates his genius at using tariffs. He truly thinks that the exporter pays the tariffs into the US treasury. He would have been told about the increased tariffs already increasing revenue. He needs that revenue to pay for the tax cuts he has promised.

He's such an ingnorant ◊◊◊◊.
I can remember the days even in Australia with its relatively small cities and the thick haze created by vehicle exhausts.

Hoping this isn’t too much of a sidetrack, but, considering your being a police officer (retired?), any general thoughts on why a lifelong criminal (and, finally, felon), lying conman, and all-around un-American, anti-American insurrectionist pardoner of well over a thousand convicted criminals, many of whom themselves attacked LEOs, seems to enjoy such a following among the forces around the country?*

*There’s the similar phenomenon among members of the sucker-and-loser armed forces, but that’s much easier to account for.

Can't say for sure. But Copilot says...

"The tendency for police officers and military personnel to lean conservative can be influenced by several factors. These professions often emphasize values like discipline, hierarchy, and tradition, which align with conservative ideologies. Additionally, their roles frequently involve upholding laws and maintaining order, which might foster a preference for stability and established systems.

However, it's important to note that not everyone in these fields identifies as conservative. Political beliefs can vary widely based on personal experiences, upbringing, and other factors. It's a nuanced topic that reflects the diversity of individuals within these professions."

Note: I served from 1982 to 1990 and resigned, so not really retired.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

In two months, there has been more Private Investment spoken for, and/or committed to, than in four years of the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration — A fact that the Fake News hates talking about!
So much investment!
On, Mr Trump: [citation needed]

As of the close of the day on March 31, my positive/negative score on the Trump administration stands at -402.

31 March 2025
+1: Trump takes action against Houthi rebels disrupting shipping in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden
+1: Executive Order: Combating Unfair Practices In the Live Entertainment Market
0: Executive Order: Establishing the United States Investment Accelerator (potentially -1 for reducing regulation)
-1: Trump falsely claims his loss of Wisconsin in the 2020 election was the result of rigged polling
-1: Headline: First-quarter GDP growth will be just 0.3% as tariffs stoke stagflation conditions, says CNBC survey (CNBC)
-1: Trump on emissions standards for cars: "It doesn't mean a damn bit of difference to the environment. It doesn't matter."

I gave a positive score to “Combating Unfair Practices In the Live Entertainment Market,” as a quick reading indicates it's taking action to prevent scalpers from swooping up tickets to live entertainment events such as big pop-star concerts and reselling them to the real fans at exorbitant mark-ups.

I believe his attack on the Houthi rebels is a positive action. It's something I think Biden should have done, but for some reason decided it wasn't in his or America's interest to do so.

122. Trump: "The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us. We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder. Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed. Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran."

123. Trump on Wisconsin: "I actually probably won it three times, to be exact. Not probably. I won it three times. We had a rigged election." (Trump lost Wisconsin in 2020.)

This is something I cannot stand about the man. He's so narcissistic he simply can't believe anything negative said about him has a basis in reality. Any questioning of his person, personality, or actions is always because of the machinations of someone else: a witch hunt, fake news, lies, or rigged elections. He apparently absolutely believes he is perfect and anyone questioning it is either a fool or an enemy, and often times both.
