Can't American automakers absorb the costs, sell the new cars at less than cost? Then get trump to sign an EO granting them subsidies to make up their losses?

The only alternative I can see -- if U.S. automakers won't cooperate with the president -- is to jail them.
 
well it doesn't even make sense. we are going to put a huge tax on your product and you cannot raise prices. until greenland becomes the 51st state or canada and there's no longer black people working for the government. also, you're not getting social security anymore. buy tesla.
 
The only way asking automakers not to raise prices is if Trump still believes the tax is paid by the exporting country. I have no idea if he remains that stubbornly ignorant, but like with his voters, it is a waste of time expecting more.

Whatever happened to the $8,000,000 given by our "government" to Radical Left Politico magazine, or whatever you would call it. Owned by wealthy guys, this money should be taken back by DOGE, ASAP. Also, is Stacey Abrams going to give back the Two Billion Dollars they funneled into her "environmental fund" just prior to my assuming office. She went from $100 in donations to $2,000,000,000 in just one day? Not bad!!! Get back the money.

Dump works in mysterious ways. Maybe he's trying to put the blame for the increase in prices on auto makers to trick his endlessly gullible cult, maybe he still doesn't understand the attempts of his handlers (with crayons, Monopoly money, and hand dolls) to explain to him what tariffs are, maybe he's just flailing or succumbing even more to dementia.

He wants to get rid of black history and women's history and more. I think what some people do not understand is that White Supremacy is a patriarchal ideology. White Men are superior and the only meaningful contributors to society, in their minds. If a black/brown/female person accomplishes something, it's only because a white man made it happen.

Maybe I was asleep or drunk when this alleged theft took place? Can anyone point to some evidence for this, or is this just his usual brain rot in action?*
