Trump's Second Term

Lockheed Martin and Northrup Grumman were also in the running. And that's how it has worked for a while: a few companies trading contract awards. That's how we got the F-22 and the F-35. General Dynamics won the F-16, and so forth. The contract is always going to go to one of the giant American aerospace contractors, therefore we can dismiss nationalistic concerns. But why Boeing over the other companies? You're right: who knows? Given Boeing's recent stumbles, it's valid to wonder if they really did beat out the other contenders. But while the commercial airplanes division is circling the drain, you still have a fair amount of competence in the military systems division. And some too still in the space division. The
economics of military contracting isn't the same as commercial airplanes, so it's less likely to be messed up by the people who are looting the company and undercutting quality.
Cost plus 20%?

Presidents shouldn't greenlight megaprojects based on them getting to name it.
I can see a rush of people trying to take advantage of this in the very near future.

"Your Orangeness, we have discovered a new snake oil formula against TDS and need money for research! Since you're such a bigly best leader, we plan to dye it orange and name it Drumpfium! This honour is yours for only $20 million dollars!"

Hope for America's budget's sake Drumpf's that handlers have parental controls enabled on his devices so they can keep track of what he does online and who he talks to.

Latest story du jour is that Waltz' Venmo friends list was left public until news reportes inquired about some of the people on there.

Always interesting to see which reporters are apparently on Venmo terms with elected officials.

Only the best

I'd imagine the good-faith doctrine would apply here, as the warrant was valid at the time of its execution?

Anyway where are they getting that the J6 charges, or investigations, were "invalid"? Presidential Pardons are clemency, they don't make the original acts 'not a crime'.

Friendship and coexistence and unity are woke, dontchaknow. Leads to more of this empathy that's what's wrong with the Western world.
Exactly! If we all could just follow Trump's lead and learn to hate everyone as much as we hate ourselves, within a few decades we could eliminate humanity and create a global utopia with nothing but peaceful bliss! :)

Gomez: "This is an issue that was brought up during Secretary Hegseth's confirmation hearing to the extent that he had to make a promise not to drink if he was confirmed. That's a big deal. I've never had to promise to not drink on that job."

Morse code? He doesn't even know all 26 letters of the alphabet!
LGBT and Q were frightening enough, then he realized there was 21 more of them.

What an absolute cluster ◊◊◊◊ .

GOd, the MAGAS actually think they can cut off the US from all contact with the outside world and prosper. Does not work that way.
Never has.
The first attempt to do that was Jefferson's embargo, aimed at keeping the US out of involment with the Napoleonic wars, which basically shut off all US Trade with belligernat nations; which at that time mean pretty much every country which the US traded with. It wrecked the US economy and had to re repealed.
As the saying goes, you can fence yourself in but you can't fence the world out.
But on the other hand, if you are expecting the US to change it ways 100% and becme a carbon copy of a Euro social democracyl is not going to happen. The US is not Europe.

The chat leak scandal is not going away anytime soon. Bot the Majority and Minority heads of the Senate Intelgience commite want hearings on it.
I note that the intial sort of no big thing response from several Republican congressoinal critters is now being backed away from.

The cynic in me is trying to figure out what angle the republicans are playing at.

We know that they have been quite happy to absolve Trump and the rest of his administration when they have been engaged in shenanigans. You would figure they would have followed the pattern and done their best to ignore things.

Do they think this is serious enough that ignoring it will cause too much bad publicity? Are they finally thinking "Trump needs to be controlled somehow" and are doing this to try to set limits? (I doubt very much that they are "investigating" this because they really think there is a problem.)
