Equally disturbing is the fact that the messages are set to delete after a few weeks. Good luck getting a FOIA request on messages that have been deleted...

ETA (since you clearly aren't getting it): Even if you made some convoluted (aka twaddling) argument that as a member of a nation, the president of the nation somehow represents you as an individual--which is false, but one could make the false argument, it ignores the fact that we, the victims of Trump's coup (which was accomplished through a minority vote of 30% of the electorate) are highly offended to be linked to the wannabe dictator. The fact that you fail to recognize how insulting it is to us is clear evidence that you lack empathy, much like the jerk who you insist on linking us to. Ponder that.

This is the Trump Administration, after all. Last time, when the "adults" had a say in how things were run, there were a number of serious security breaches. Now? The "adults" don't even really have much of a say in the first place and Trump's paving the way for lots more breaches of security.

Ehh. Trump is the President of the US and I am a citizen of the US. Calling him "my" President is questionable, though, at best. Officially, it's true enough. There's a lot more that normally comes along with the title of "my President," though, to the point where relying on the official designation as sole justification for claiming that feels more like an empty technicality that misses the essence of the issue, at best. Did I vote for him? No. Do I support what he's doing? No. That's been far more than enough for plenty of Republicans to make a big deal about Democratic Party Presidents not being "their" President with virtually no pushback to be heard. Going further, though, is he actually acting as President? Not really. He and his supporters seem intent upon making him a king/dictator, not a servant of the people, much less one with dignity or any interest in actually making the US better. Is he working to better my life, despite it all? Hell no. I'm far more likely to be among those who he would be happy to harm than those he would work to help.

"Monarez was a Science and Technology Policy fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Prior to government service, Monarez was a postdoctoral fellow and graduate student, respectively, at Stanford University and the University of Wisconsin, where she focused on technology development to prevent, diagnose, and treat infectious diseases with a focus on people living in low- and middle-income countries."

Well, they had to do something to ameliorate the toxic negativity and dangerous antics of RFK Jr. I suspect Dr. Monarez will become the new Dr. Fauci.

Your secretary of defense screwed up and messaged your secret war plans to a journalist at a magazine. And you think it will somehow reassure people to hear your opinion that it is a nasty magazine you don't like? And it will somehow reassure people to learn your staff didn't bother to tell you anything about it? And reassure them to know you're shrugging it off as they seem to have got away with it?

It probably doesn't need saying but think about how that joke works: Musk suggests a way of fooling radical leftists into doing his job for him. So he thinks his job is to destroy government departments.
 
For some entertainment, the last few hundred comments on Hesgeth's FB page are pretty spot on.
