MISSOURI, USA — President Donald Trump is more popular in Missouri than ever even if the policies his new administration pursues aren’t, according to the latest Saint Louis University YouGov poll.
The survey of 900 likely Missouri voters, polled between Feb. 18 and March 2, showed 56% of those polled approve or strongly approve of Trump. The survey also showed 52% somewhat or strongly oppose one of the president’s key objectives, dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education.

I’m quite ashamed to say I live in Missouri.
 
Civil war is also an option for those that want to do something.

History tends to indicate that the only circumstances in which the majority make relative gains on the ultra-wealthy is just after the world, for one reason or another, has gone to ◊◊◊◊. The most recent example is the period after WWII. In between those times the ultra-wealthy accelerate away from everyone else.
Some people make comparisons to pre-revolutionary France and such are often over simplified. However one key observation from that era is that money attracts money. A number of multi-millionaires have said the hard bit was making the first million after that it was easy. This was many years ago when 1 million was considered a lot. As I've said before I believe a key function of government is to manage that so there's still enough (for varying values of enough) for the bottom half not to be too resentful. US and UK governments have been failing that IMHO.
 
The chief justice of the US Supreme Court has released a rare statement in response to President Donald Trump's call to impeach a judge who ruled against his administration over migrant deportations.

"For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision," Chief Justice John Roberts said in a statement.

He added that the "normal appellate review process exists for that purpose".

They love the white supremacy, they don't like the things Trump is doing to their public services. IE.. they want the leopard to only eat the faces of liberals and non-white people.

I suppose you could argue that the election of Donald Trump is the most damning verdict on the Department of Education.
 
Gosh. A supreme court justice standing up in support of due process. That ought to sound like the driest, least controversial news of the decade.

Exactly so. We are in a seriously bad place in America when a Supreme Court justice feels he has to say something like this and it's news because we have to wait with bated breath to see what the response from the White House will be to what amounts to a basic civics lesson.

Christ, what a fool we have for a President. You were elected to be the head of one of the three branches of the federal government, you idiot, not all three of them. You get to appoint judges to the bench, but so did Obama, who I will remind you won both his elections by far larger margins that you did either of yours. So if the measure of a judge's legitimacy is the size of the victory of the President who appointed him, your own metric makes you and yours the losers.

I am so tired of this ◊◊◊◊.
