With Trump set to announce a cessation of military support for Ukraine, time for Europe to rethink its strategy?
The issue of US F-35's and other military supplies (much of which was depreciated written off stuff with a much lower Net Book Value than Trump claims [think: secondhand car values]). So, if Europe stops buying American defence and attack gear, that is a blow to their economy, no? Thirty-three European brands are in the world's top 100.

It really hadn't occurred to me until you posted that. The US has been pressing for years to get all of NATO to increase defence spending but, while what they've done now has certainly given that a big push, it's made sure that although Europe will be spending more on defence, they'll spending less on US weapons, and that will increase costs to the US of its own military expenditure. How much more would each F-35 have cost America if nobody else had bought them?
Some of those European and UK companies owe their success in part to being subcontractors for US defence companies.
That said, the US defence industry would be unhappy if Europe and UK switch their spending time domestic companies, but how will they react?
Will they try to sell to Russia instead (though it's a smaller, poorer, market).
These types of projects and contracts are over long time scales, easily outlasting governments and individuals in power today apart from countries like Russia, China, North Korea and perhaps the USA....
True, but the US has clearly demonstrated that it's an unreliable ally with one of the two main parties now actively supporting Russia. That's not going to change any time soon and even when it does, rebuilding the trust will take decades.

I haven't found an authoritive source but the concensus seems to be the top or more DNS record(s) have been deleted but DNS caching (if you end up going through some DNS servers) still has records cached for now.

Executive order: Addressing the Threat to National Security from Imports of Timber, Lumber
I've rated this as a negative action because it's clearly aimed at Canada's lumber exports. They are supposed to be protected by the free trade agreement.
If nothing else, Trump is being consistent by simply doing what previous administrations have done. Canadian lumber exports to the States have been an irritant for over two decades. Every administration has questioned them and put tariffs on them because Canada is apparently "dumping" lumber into the American market. Almost every time, a review has shown that not to be the case, forcing the States to back down. This is just another round in that dispute.

I've rated this as a negative action because the pretext is ludicrous. In 2024 only 19 kg (all of 43 pounds) of fentanyl were seized by US officials at the border with Canada. By contrast, 10 tons (21,418 pounds) were seized at the border with Mexico.
Once again, Trump is being a shameless bully.
