The Economist reported, "When doge stopped payments, it cut off $750m to $1bn in money owed to contractors for work already completed, one executive estimates." The abruptness of the cuts is a large part of the problem, as this article indicated. The attempt to make exceptions for life-saving expenditures is not working, for one thing.
