Trump's Second Term

Just how much will they "save" by cruelly denying benefits for the few thousand probationers they have sacked for cause? A couple of hundred million? That's a tiny speck in a single drop in the ginormous ocean of US debt. Clearly, the cruelty is the point.
There is no actual indication that they will deny anyone benefits.

Usually, they would've had to at least worked more than three months, but I'm not sure, because I've never worked less than six months before collecting.

Benefits are usually decided on quarterly earnings for the last year, and the last quarter is usually not part of that equation.

At least that's how it use to work around here. When I was going to college I'd do 3 months as a field engineering supplement (a program through the college and IBM) then have to stand down for 3 months. I'd collect unemployment or work maintenance (often in the same buildings I was just working as a FES) till I was eligible for the next placement. Can't say how it is now, haven't been on unemployment for 22 years.

41. Trump: "Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn't be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and "TRUMP," will never be able to settle.

The United States has spent $200 Billion Dollars more than Europe, and Europe's money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing back.

Why didn't Sleepy Joe Biden demand Equalization, in that this War is far more important to Europe than it is to us - We have a big, beautiful Ocean as separation.

On top of this, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him is "MISSING." He refuses to have Elections, is very low in Ukrainian Polls, and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden "like a fiddle."

A Dictator without Elections, Zelenskyy better move fast or he is not going to have a Country left. In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only "TRUMP," and the Trump Administration, can do.

Biden never tried, Europe has failed to bring Peace, and Zelenskyy probably wants to keep the "gravy train" going.

I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his Country is shattered, and MILLIONS have unnecessarily died - And so it continues.....
Almost entirely a fabrication. A fabrication his weirdo cultists will credulously accept.

donald trump is, ostensibly, the most powerful man on the planet. realistically, he’s beyond the need for money. he’s not in danger of being arrested anymore. historically, once he’s gotten what he wants from someone he drops them and rips them off.

so, why does he bow to putin? he lets putin insult him and does as he asks. why. what is the plausible reason besides putin has something damning on trump?
Donnie's a coward, and acting like one.

More dangerous stupid from thix stupidly dangerous administration.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is stopping a successful flu vaccination campaign that juxtaposed images of wild animals, such as a lion, with cute counterparts, like a kitten, as an analogy for how immunization can help tame the flu.

Public Health

Flu cases rise again, while COVID takes a back seat

The news was shared with staff during a meeting on Wednesday, according to two CDC staffers who spoke with NPR on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, and a recording reviewed by NPR.

During the meeting, leadership at the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases told CDC staff that the Department of Health and Human Services had reviewed the campaign and advised that it would not continue.

The move comes during Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s first full week on the job as head of HHS.

It reminds me of China's Cultural Revolution.

Which means the next step will be a Hundred Flowers. The king and his hand will graciously welcome criticism of their reign, carefully make note of who has made cogent points, and then crush them.
Or worse Pol Pot's (and he infused his weird take on christianity into that one).

ok, i think you're roughly on the right track. but the root of the issue is why is trump afraid of putin? putin can do something to trump that can harm him, what is it? there's a reason why trump does what he says and allows him to insult him publicly without ever saying a word, he's got a weird nickname for everyone that looks at him funny and goes to the end of the earth to get revenge of decades old slights against windmills. like, obviously we don't really know what the exact reason is and this is speculative, but imo it's more than he respects him as a dictator or something silly.

imo it's established that trump and putin coordinated to get him elected, they meet and talk secretly and have been documented as having done so more than once. what they talk about is anyone's guess, but putin says what he wants, trump does it. putin insults trump publicly, trump never retaliates in kind even though it's basically the only thing he does to every other person on the planet. putin has some kind of power over trump to get him to do what he wants, it's not voodoo. but it's something.

The loyalty Trump has to Putin is, IMO, a product of shared association over a long time, not a cold calculation or coercion. Russia got its hooks into Trump early, and has kept up contacts ever since; Russian money has kept Trump afloat in critical times, and people sent to him by Putin (Manaford, etc.) have proven to be loyal, even to their own detriment.
Also, Putin hates the same people as Trump: Clinton and Obama, and those snooty Europeans.
Trump is fantasizing that they are kindred spirits.
