Trump's Second Term

Are you unaware that people were making death threats against them and encouraging violence? That's what Musk was threatening arrest over, not just publishing names. Yeah, there was damn good reason to get upset about that.

Yet he doesn't give a ◊◊◊◊ when it happens to people he targets. Guess who else got threats? Fauci. You don't seem to give a ◊◊◊◊ about that at all. How about the multitude of women that have had anything to say about Trump? Save your ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ bull ◊◊◊◊ fake ass concern. It's transparent as hell.

Did Musk threaten Fauci? If not, not sure what he has to do with this.

I'm not the one who brought up the issue, I only clarified it. And you won't see me defending people who made death threats against Fauci, or objecting to him complaining about death threats, or misrepresent his complaints about those death threats. If you make death threats against anyone, you should face legal consequences. I'm not inconsistent about that.

Yep.

Elon Musk targets Dr. Anthony Fauci in viral tweet, drawing backlash

By Emily Mae Czachor

As Dr. Anthony Fauci prepares to step down as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the end of the year, the leading immunologist faced derision on social media over the weekend from tech billionaire and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

"My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci," Musk tweeted on Sunday. The jibe, shared largely without context, drew support from prominent conservatives such as right-wing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene — whose account was reinstated with Musk's decision to end the platform's COVID-19 misinformation policy last month, and who has been criticized in the past for her own comments mocking the use of gender pronouns — as well as backlash.

Did he? The only claim I've seen Musk make about people breaking the law is the death threats. Perhaps you have something else in mind? Or are you getting that second hand?

We can't help it if your echo chamber doesn't inform you:

The only screen shot I've seen doesn't include the whole tweet, so I can't confirm. But if the only thing included were names, then Musk would be wrong, sure.

“Here’s a list of techies on the ground helping Musk gaining and using access to the US Treasury payment system,” and named the six men identified in the Wired article. Musk shot back, “You have committed a crime,” though there is no law against reporting the names of individuals with a government-affiliated task force. The post was then removed and replaced with a message saying that it had violated X rules. Then the account itself was suspended.

We can't help it if your echo chamber doesn't inform you...
To be fair, many threats were made subsequently. And those are undoubtedly illegal. However, the right is hoping those overshadow the threats to arrest people who merely revealed the names of the DOGE operatives and did not call for violence.

Irrelevant. The claim I made was that Elon Musk had said merely revealing the names of his team was illegal. I have substantiated that claim.
It's not irrelevant. The report screwed up one thing I could confirm, I'm not going to trust it about something I can't confirm. Because again, I can't confirm the entire content of that tweet. I've conceded that the part that's visible doesn't contain anything illegal, and I've conceded that if the rest doesn't contain something more than names that Musk is wrong.

I made a specific claim and substantiated it. Gyrate all you wish.

Musk called naming the names illegal. That simply was not true. You were wrong.
