Trump's Second Term

True. But again, this is all in line with the authors of Project 2025. Trump himself has no clue about that, nor any care. He is, as you correctly point out, is in it for his own real estate opportunities. Your predictions seem feasible.
I don't s
Donald says that to reporters in the Oval Office "everybody loves" his proposal for the US to "take over" Gaza

"Everybody loves it" but it wasn't the right time for further questions
Just as all the Inuit want Greenland to bear part of the US and Canadians want to be the 51st state. These are all settled facts and Trudeau etc. are anti democratic in denying Canadians, Greenlanders and Gazans the right to be part of a Greater America. (Although I am not sure that being resident on American real estate give residency rights, let alone citizenship rights. I am just waiting for Trump to say
Service guarantees Citizenship.

Start with Musk. Arrest him and his "team" for break and enter of government properties and theft of government data. I understand that can lead to sentences of many years in jail. Their actions need to be researched and evaluated, followed by appropriate trials, convictions and sentencing. Sure, they will be pardoned. But Trump’s pardon power extends only to sentences, not to the trials and public shaming.
Who is going to do the arresting? Trump has already secured puppets in those positions.

I will repeat my assertion that Trump is no more than a babbling, mindless, dissolute sock-puppet operated by the law-disdainng authors of Project 2025 in the shadows. Donny is useful now only as a humourous distraction, and as a rhinocerous-skinned lightning rod for global ire.
That's certainly a popular opinion. Donald Trump might very well be just the designated jester, intended only to distract from more sinister operations and to exhaust the nation's capacity for outrage.

To shut Trump down, first his faceless minions need to be removed. They are actually an easier target than the SCOTUS-shielded toad rectum personally. Without them, Trump becomes just a cartoon caricature.
But Trump will just pardon whomever he's told to pardon.

Start with Musk. Arrest him and his "team" for break and enter of government properties and theft of government data.
It's not as easy as that, since Musk is arguably acting under color of law. He is a designated "special government employee," and as such has authority granted by the President. However, that doesn't mean he is authorized to do some of the things he has attempted, since those are controlled by laws passed by Congress. Neither the President nor anyone else in the administration can simply ignore the law. The terms of government service in any capacity hinge upon the power granted. Not every federal employee or appointee requires Senate confirmation, but there are laws preventing the ad hoc wielding of power without a suitable office (and possibly confirmation requirement) attached. Congress exactly foresaw a President's desire to evade Congressional oversight by creative hiring and appointment.

Their actions need to be researched and evaluated, followed by appropriate trials, convictions and sentencing. Sure, they will be pardoned. But Trump’s pardon power extends only to sentences, not to the trials and public shaming.
A pardon can be granted any time after the operative offense is committed and may forestall a trial. If the perpetrators are not shamed by the behavior itself, it is unlikely they will be shamed by public response to their behavior.

Trump praises Tommy Tuberville for doing a great job as Patrick Mahomes's college coach, despite the fact he never coached.

"I said, 'How good was he?' He said, 'You don't want to know how good. He made me into a great coach.'"
He made up an entire conversation, Tuberville never coached.
Tuberville was at Texas Tech from 2010-12, Mahomes was there 2014-16.

Let's be clear here. No other President in the history of the United States has acted like Trump has since he took office in this term. None. Not even close. The Constitution was not drawn up to facilitate this kind of behaviour.
Equally clear is the avowed goal of reforming (and largely eliminating) the traditional organs of power in the U.S. executive branch. President Trump has no intention of behaving like any other President, and no qualms about saying so. He is utterly uncowed by the public response to his behavior and has made no secret of his intention of making Institutionalists of both parties cry. The less addled of the administration (i.e., the architects and facilitators of Project 2025) are fully on board with this. Their explicit plan is to burn it all to the ground.

Trump as he signs an order banning trans people from sports says of Trans people: "The Secret Service is worried about them? If we have to worry about them, we have big problems."

Trump has directed Kristi Noem to "reject any and all visa applications made by men attempting to fraudulently enter the United States while identifying as women athletes, trying to get into the games, maybe."

Trump

"Marco is going to make clear to the Olympic Committee and he's gonna make it as clear as anybody can make it that America categorically rejects transgender lunacy. We want them to change everything having to do with the Olympics."

"My administration will not stand by and watch men beat and batter female athletes. And it's gonna end, and it's ending right now, and nobody is gonna be able to do a damn thing about it, because when I speak, we speak with authority."

"In recent years the radical left has waged an all-out campaign to erase the very concept of biological sex and replace it with a militant transgender ideology. You heard a little bit about this, haven't you? men claiming to be girls have stolen more than 3,500 victories."

Looking at Youtube comments the number of Trump supporters who are saying that Trump achieved a magnificent victory in his "Trade War bluff" with Canada and Mexico is stunning. He so far got little more than what Canada and Mexico had agreed to do before the election.

And at the same time he has seriously increased anti-American sentiment in both Canada and Mexico and has made governments in both countries extremely suspicious of him, and for what. What was already agreed too!!

The absolutely stunning display of living in a alternative reality is amazing. Trump is spinning what amounts to a back walk as victory and his fans are sticking their heads in the sand and swallowing the snake oil.

Stupid in, stupid out.

I can confirm that the more than 8m taxpayer dollars that have gone to essentially subsidizing subscriptions to Politico will no longer be happening. The DOGE team is working on cancelling those payments."

Politico are not funded by USAID, they have a standard subscription to Politico day-to-day Congressional coverage. along with other media subscriptions.

The president’s job - and if someone sufficiently vain and stupid is picked he won’t realise this - is not to wield power, but to draw attention away from it.

I wonder if the CEO of Politico is happy that his prayer for Trump to win was answered....

Well of course, there are no women according to Trump--just girls! And the younger the better....just ask his bf Epstein...oh wait, he mysteriously died...

They do. But how power do we want to give governments to determine what a proper education is? The state of California, for example, thinks kids should be indoctrinated into critical race theory, antisemitism, and radical gender ideology in elementary school, against the wishes of parents.
I suppose that we may as well count this as yet more proof that your overall position on the subjects at hand here is extraordinarily weak, to put it nicely.

Very unfortunately for all of us, the Republican Party has already gone to great lengths to make various things happen that make a number of your stated positions and arguments into what should be pathetic excuses for jokes.

For example, you invoked an important court case precedent as support for your position? Were the Republican Party actually a party of conservatives, that would bear weight. With that said, the Republican Party's made extreme mockeries of that in both principle and practice, over and over, which is just one of the many reasons why calling the current Republican Party "conservative" is a pathetic joke. Roe v Wade is just one of the most impactful, but is nowhere close to unique. Why should should anyone take you seriously when you try to push such?

To the contrary, nothing they do surprises me anymore. They're a literal cult. They'll lap up everything the cult leader says, no matter how detrimental, cruel, stupid, or self-contradictory. There's no depth they won't sink to, nothing they won't defend or excuse. The National Socialist Donald's America Party will use swastikas at a rally next and their faithful will insist Drumpf intended them as Hindu symbols of luck. Or Dump or Musk will do the Nazi salute again and the audience will respond in kind.

How long until we see Dump supporters driving around with swastika flags and doing 'Roman greetings' in public?
