Only Justice Jackson seems to be a DEI problem, since Biden said he would appoint a woman of color to the seat. Presumably that meant a better qualified white man lost the job. In contrast, Justice Barrett was a specific female appointment in loving memory of Justice Ginsberg, and therefore immune to DEI criticism.

Never mind that Jackson is one hell of a jurist. While you might disagree with her, you can't conclude she isn't smart, educated and thoughtful. Something you couldn't say about Justice Thomas.

They support him completely and are slagging Biden and Obama off in the comments to their messages of condolence.

Thank you for addressing this so I didn't need to. May this legislation die immediately, either way. It's not like we actually need more proof that the reich-wing utterly hates free speech, of course, regardless of pretenses.

I think we are going to see such a rapid descent into madness that the SS will be called to drag him out of the White House in a straight jacket. Long before 2026. Then it will be interesting to see how JD is received by what's left.

I could never go back to that ◊◊◊◊ hole. Even Facebook is getting to be too much for me lately. It's painfully clear that my algorithm is being changed. I have been blocking right-wing pages for the last two weeks and when I block one another pops up. Most of the time with the same meme that caused me to block a previous page.

Meanwhile the arcons are doing a lot of hand-wringing and shoe-gazing about Trump trying to blame everyone else. Its not sinking in but they actually seem a tad embarrassed by it.
