Great minds think...
What's with the scare quotes around the word "deal"?
Probably his way of saying to Russia "take what you can get" and saying to Ukraine "give them what they ask".

Well that's today, tomorrow Putin could say something nice to him, or he decides the Ukrainians aren't sucking up enough and its all change. That's the problem, there is no strategy here beyond 'look how great and powerful I am' from Trump. That's part of what makes him so terrifying as President. It's slightly encouraging that he's decided Putin is the problem.

Yo can never tell with Trump, but I think his love affair with Putin is over.
That's not what US oil producers want.Trump: "We want to see OPEC cut the price of oil, and that will automatically stop the tragedy that's taking place in Ukraine."
Bribes to Trampy.Wait, there is still something Russia is selling to US ?
Nah, he didn't beat up on the weakest kid on the block.Zelensky stood his ground. He ought to be MAGA's poster boy.
What's a Facebook friend, and do you have anything closer to a primary source?A Facebook friend who does contract work which is funded by US-AID (the United States Agency for International Development) and the WHO has been told that the US Government has told them to stop all work in Ukraine immediately.
Not sure if that is simply cost-savings or an indication of future policy regarding Ukraine.
The logic works in the sense that it doesn’t matter if it is true or not, but Trump may feel flattered enough to force Ukraine to accept more humiliating terms than otherwise.Even now Putin's trying to regain Trump's favor by saying the war would have never happened had Biden not 'stolen the election from Trump'. I'm not sure how the logic of that's supposed to work, but we all know logic isn't one of Putin or Trumps strong suits.
Some of us have, you know, social lives, and have conversations with other people we know. Sounds weird, I know, but it's true. What's a Facebook friend...
I mean is it a person you know, that you stay in touch with via Facebook? Or is it an entirely online acquaintance of an acquaintance? Or is it an entirely online acquaintance who crossed your path thanks to the Algorithm, and friended out of some degree of shared interest? Some of us have, you know, social lives, and have conversations with other people we know. Sounds weird, I know, but it's true.
