Ed Does anyone here believe that Princess Diana's car crash was suspicious?

WHy is that patronising?

You said MI5 were involved in the car crash.
If any of the services were involved it would be MI6.

But. This is real life and not James Bond, neither of the services would be involved, you don't know what they do or what their purpose is.

Ha ha. I am so far ahead of you.

Obviously, the seatbelt was in on it. Notice how it's airbag cousin was deported to Germany.

Well it is quite possible 'they' (MI5) knew Diana rarely or never wore a seatbelt, so it becomes a moot point to say 'She would have lived if she'd worn a seatbelt, therefore MI5 has nothing to do with it'.

As for Hewitt being deployed to Germany 'because of the Diana shenanigans', again it is not impossible.

Not that Germany isn't a short trip for most Brits anyway.

Did anyone say that?

And what did they do with this knowledge? Go ahead, finish the story.

So all she had to do that night was wear a seat belt and not get in a car with a drunk driver.

It's not exactly a fool proof or robust plan is it?

So they sent an entire regiment on deployment to Germany along with all their armoured vehicles just to get rid of him?

That's nice. Now, how about you tell us what you think might have happened?

MI5, or M15, something something, Paris. Dodi and Diana (and their bodyguard) were being driven from Dodi's dad's hotel, by the hotel's deputy head of security, who was drunk, in an armoured Mercedes S-class. They were speeding, to get away from pursuing papparazzi.

What did MI5/M15 do next?

It does MI:6- Fallout, if I remember the order properly?

Looks like this thread opened the door for our resident conspiracy fantasist's conspiracy of the year. Not sure I am up to following this one. The humor quality is not what it once was.

The best answer I can give you is, I don't know <shrug>. I was simply drawing attention to people's lack of logic.

The inquiry said it was an accident. If there was MI5 involvement they are hardly going to say so are they?

The only lack of logic is your own.

Have you heard of William of Ockham?
