Trump's Second Term

Yes, comparing still photographs is totally good faith argumentation. Well done. Elon Musk salutes you.
A long-since-banned member Perry Logan used to notice that the conspiracy theorists all have one thing in common. They think the conspirators find themselves compelled to blurt out their guilt. And it drives them crazy to think that nobody else seems to notice it except other conspiracy theorists. Whole lot of them in this thread.

When did you decide that it is okay to be a Nazi?

what's the conspiracy theory? I thought we were just pointing out that Musk was giving a nazi salute (or to put it more 'politely' a 'roman salute')
the only question at issue is was he conscious of his action? You'd think someone who was humbled into visiting Auschwitz might be aware...
On the other hand, we do have Musk and Trump, who are probably the two best known and documented CT figures in the world right now.

I wonder how many of those apologizing for Musks nazi-salute, calling it a gesture of the heart (or whatever), are willing to give that same gesture to people out in public, at work, in a crowd of minorities....

o c'mon you must know that 'crowds' of minorities are banned under the new world order. And sadly, I can attest that even in my blue state the Maggats are quite proud to drive their trucks down the street waving flags in support of their leader, and pretty much thumbing their noses at anyone who dares look at them with anything less than pride.
ETA: I can almost guarantee that the confederate flag will soon be flying again on every street corner south of the Mason-Dixon Line

Seems like a bit of non sequitur to my point: You posted a refutation of the claim that Musk performed a Nazi salute (which he did) that dishonestly uses still photographs to suggest the claim is false, while ignoring the video that clearly shows Musk performing a Nazi salute.

Would you like to address this video? Or continue with your dishonest argument?

Again, dare I suggest going around in circles with someone who has clearly made up his mind to not argue in good faith and go "whaaaaat, you think it's a Nazi salute, why would you even think so? :confused pikachu face:" for pages isn't very fruitful? I know it's the ISF forums and arguing with not-in-good-faith people is traditional here, but still?

He is also ignoring the body of work from Musk. Musk has a history of supporting white supremacy and Nazis.
Even the media is portraying it as 'Musk doing what looks like a Nazi greeting', for some reason.
If he did a thumbs-up or showed someone the finger, the media wouldn't report it as 'Musk did a gesture resembling a thumbs-up', now would they.

We're just being silly.
There were angry reactions across Europe to Elon Musk’s apparent use of a salute banned for its Nazi links in Germany, where some condemned it as malicious provocation or an outreach of solidarity to far-right groups . . . Olaf Scholz, the German chancellor, said he considered Musk’s support for the extreme right unacceptable as he was asked how he thought Europe should respond to the tech billionaire, particularly in the light of his AfD endorsement. The co-leader of the AfD, Tino Chrupalla, was among the members of Europe’s far-right political class to be in Washington for Trump’s inauguration . . .
WTF was Chrupalla doing at the inaugural?

Oh yeah, I forgot.

American media is doing this. Media from other countries, not so much.

To be fair, there is a huge distinction between the gestures, given the inference one makes from them. So when the media says "it looks like" they are essentially doing the same thing they do when they say "John Doe is the alleged killer"
Given the right jury, I'm sure a team of Trumpist lawyers could convince a few hold outs that it wasn't *really* a nazi salute.

Brainster has always at least postured themselves as reasonable. I'm willingly to extend to them a small benefit of the doubt.

I think Musk knew exactly what he was doing when he made that gesture. I think it was a troll, and he expected the criticism, so he could say

“Frankly, they need better dirty tricks. The ‘everyone is Hitler’ attack is soo tired.”

And the magats could nod in agreement and say

"Murica, ◊◊◊◊ yeah.

I’m watching Trump’s press conference about AI funding. He’s always been incoherent, but I think senility is closing in. Not that this is any great consolation, with the quality of the current VP.

they’re having the same case of the weird combination of fear of missing out or fear of crossing trump that everyone else is having.

One day down, four years to go. Honestly, given how extreme he's proving himself to be, I don't know if I foresee this regime lasting four years. Especially with him pardoning the January 6 people, which you know will embolden others to commit violence. I'm just waiting for someone to commit an act of terror or an assassination and for Dump to not only praise them, but to pardon them or even put them in a position of power. Which I guess sounds crazy, but did anyone prior to Dump coming on the scene think that in a few short years we'd not only have a coup attempt, but that the insurrectionists would be pardoned by the President?

Either way, between said violence and Dump and Musk's open fascism, will America even stand for it all?

Well, I can imagine few things more scary than Trump talking coherently about AI funding.
