Becuase it's only an even tinier percentage of transsexuals who have attacked women, whereas way more transsexuals have been attacked by men.

So, take this case, and I concede it is rare but I think it is illustrative. You would conclude they are a male, correct?
What do think of the doctors' and family's decision to treat the patient as a woman, since she was assigned female at birth, grew up as a female, and had "lady feelz" to use Rolfe's phrase? If she went into sports, presumably you would ban her from competing against women, correct?

Only two categories are needed: Women's (for females only) and Open. Like in Chess. There is no Men's category in chess, only Open and Women's. Female women are free to compete in any chess tournament, whether open or women-only. Transgender women can compete only in the Open division.

Of course, this hasn't prevented complaints.

Once again: genuine transsexuals are not the problem. The problem is the flashers, stalkers and male sexual predators who, if TRAs get their way, will also be able to access female safe spaces whenever they wish.

Once again: women have been quietly accepting transwomen they know and trust into their safe spaces for years. It's the demand that we put up with strange men we neither know nor trust being billeted on us without our consent that some of us are pushing back on.

It seems Trausti and Ron disagree.

But thanks for agreeing with me. I don't have any rules suggestions for how to police people with penises entering women's spaces. That's why the debate goes round and round. Nobody knows how to police it other than how it's always been.
 
How it's always been is that women can raise the alarm if someone with a penis enters their safe spaces without their permission, in the certain knowledge that something will be done about it. It's not perfect, in that it might sometimes result in a transwoman it would be safe for them to trust being ejected, but I don't think the alternative the TRAs are demanding is better.

The way they do phrase it - that self identifying as trans is all that's required for males to enter female safe spaces, and women not only have no say in the matter but, if they dare to object, are transphobic and guilty of a hate crime.

As things were, and mostly still are: a flasher walks into the women's changing room at a gym, disrobes, goes into the women's shower and exhibits himself to the women and girls whilst ogling their naked bodies. The women raise the alarm, the staff eject the flasher and quite possibly call the police. In practice this hardly ever happens, because flashers don't want to get arrested. That's what puts the 'safe' into 'female safe spaces'.

As things will be, if TRAs get their way: a flasher walks into the women's changing room at a gym, disrobes, goes into the women's shower and exhibits himself to the women and girls whilst ogling their naked bodies. The women don't bother to raise the alarm, because they know all the flasher has to do is claim to be trans and the staff will be on his side rather than theirs, so this happens a lot more often than it used to. Female rape victims stop going to gyms, because there are no longer any such things as 'female safe spaces'.

Many years ago, we used to have a word for this sort of poppycock.... that word is "Fad"

Miniskirts, hipster pants, stove-pipes, winkle-pickers, hula hoops, pet rocks, big hair, lava lamps, yoyos, mood rings, slinky springs.

Its little more than Gen Z trying to be edgy!
