He'll be there to be the face of the org that gets rid of all the people T****y thinks are his enemies and then to be the scapegoat when that tanks the economy.

I wonder how long the Trump/Musk romance lasts. In the end, there is only room for one Alpha Male , soonere of later Trump wil turn on Musk.

The thing is that IMO neither is an Alpha Male, they just think they are which sets up an internal conflict is one of the reasons for some of their bizarre behaviour.

The bromance between Trump and Musk will last just as long as Trump thinks that Musk is obediently doing his bidding. IMO if the tables are turned and Trump falls out of love with Musk then Musk won't have a big hissy fit, he'll just get bored and move onto the next shiny thing.

They (2) have a gig for 18 months. Maybe a couple of desks, some office support. Neither will spend more than one day a week at the White House. Musk will do video conferences mostly.

Looking at how his cabinet is shaping up, my guess is that the whole administration will collapse due to incompetence inside of six months.

the only reason why SpaceX exists is because NASA has to waste months talking to Committees in Washington when anything breaks, whereas the same money used by a Musk to blow up his rockets is seen as a wise investment.
