Yes, I misremembered. Prescott had a 'heated' argument with Hislop and threw a 1997 Labour policy card at Victoria Coren-Mitchell and told her to read it and see they’d met every promise. She tsaid it was a train ticket to Reading.

I had completely forgotten Hattersley! Just goes to show.

There's an age old maxim. Don't poke the bear.

Another should be, don't mess with the cat people. Vance just did both. Needlessly.

What is wrong with these people? What inspires a politician to attack sizable demographics of voters?

Vance stepped forward to attack childless women. Calling them miserable cat ladies. Never mind that Kamala Harris has step children.

But back to my point. Ignore demographics at your peril. 53% of the population are women. More than 35% of women over 30 in the US do not have children or have plans to. 44 percent of adults who don't have children say they have no plans to have children. 29% of US households have cats. So why would you single out a large swaths of the population negatively?

Women have more reasons to vote in the upcoming election than EVER BEFORE! Not only are they presented with the opportunity to elect the first female president. They are fighting for the right to control their bodies without interference from men or the government.

Lots of people are obsessed with their pets. My aunt would choose her dogs or her cats over any of her nephews and necessarily. And she's not unique. Taylor Swift is obsessed with her cat.

It's one thing to attack the political opposition over their stances on the issues. That is reasonable and expected. It's another to suggest there is something wrong with pet owners and childless women.

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.
