To be honest I saw it on Twitter, several people posted more or less the same thing.

Tesco Club Card is one of my pet peeves.

They take a random item, double the price and offer it at the old price on the club card.

Or stock a one off item and offer it cheap on the club card at a price still above the regular version.

Grant Shapps: "We're going to build up to 28 ships... a sort of golden era of shipbuilding."

This sounds very much like the 40 new hospitals, that the Tories promised in 2019, that have never materialised.

In the meantime they are getting rid of 2 frigates and still considering scrapping the assault ships

But it's OK there's going to be 6 new assault ships sometime in the future maybe.

And apparently all future frigates "will be fitted with land attack capabilities". Perhaps they'll be equipped with tracks like Baltic submarines.

New DWP rules come in this week.
People claiming universal credit and working fewer than 18 minimum wage hours a week will be expected to look for more, or better paid work.

Before now, claimants had to work 15 hours.

Also the DWP are to get more powers to arrest and investigate claimants they suspect of incorrectly claiming. As part of this 2500 'external investigation agents' are being recruited.
It is hoped to save or recover up to £1.25 billion a year.

This Post Office enforcer guy here can show them the ropes. Black shirt should intimidate them nicely.

Schools in England will be banned from teaching sex education to children under nine, in new government guidance expected to be published on Thursday.

The BBC has not seen the new guidelines but a government source said they also included plans to ban any children being taught about gender identity.

Apparently children under 9 aren't taught about sex now, only about relationships. So this is yet another made up issue.

Exactly. It's age appropriate and helps identify possible sexual abuse. Kids learn that some things are not okay.

One of the first operations I ever watched was a Caesarean section on an 11-year-old.

It's too late to start relationship and sex education after the kids have started puberty.

You can start early in primary school about their body being theirs. You don't need to describe the mechanics, and indeed the lessons don't at a young age.

Rishi at PMQs refusing to apologise for comparing the Scottish pro-independence population to terrorists.

Which means an apology is coming in 2 or 3 days time then, after all the damage is done and the apology loses all credibility.

If they won't apologise for Truss they won't apologise for anything.

My favourite bit was when Sunak's answer to 14 years of Tory Incompetence and corruption was that everyone can now see that they shouldn't vote Labour, because Starmer stuttered.

Yesterday “the UK is safer with the Conservatives”

Today “some of you will need to boil your tap water for at least 22 minutes if you plan on drinking it”

Tory Shill!

You seem to imply Sunak has any credibility to lose

Indeed. And given who's generally more confident in the dispatch box it's again a dim attack on so many levels.

Not that, but some of Sunak's other putdowns seem to be the sort that he might rehearse in front of a mirror, thinking "this time I'll land that hit on him and everyone will cheer"

Mind you, he was also trying to explain why Labour was dangerous because Sunak's government released stalkers early from prison and Labour are the party of the past.

"With the help of Nigel Farage in a Conservative government, with Boris Johnson probably returning as Foreign Secretary as well welcoming the likes of Ben Habib and Richard Tice into the Conservative Party, winning the next election is well within reach."
