Cont: Luton Airport Car Park Fire III

That doesn't mean he doesn't also have personal interests because one's spouse does not count.

If you're claiming Sunak is using his wife as a proxy to get around blind trusts, then he is cheating and not "by the book."

So it is quite possible...

Please provide evidence, not your imagination.

The way around it IMV is to declare the name, model and make of the vehicles that started the Luton fire.

The proper way around this is for you first to show evidence for your claims. Then you can argue that the lack of publication of these details is due to the embargo you claim is in place, rather than your expectation being little more than a fever dream.

What is the point in repeating the same sentence over and over again?

"Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking." ~ Steve Jobs.

Because you won't answer the question.

Do you agree with their statement that the car was a diesel and not an EV or hybrid of any sort?

Or are they deliberately telling lies to cover up the real cause of the fire?

In feudal times, people paid tithes by way of their produce, for example, a barrel of wheat, fish or as was common in Sweden a barrel of tar to help the king with his war ships.

What does that have to do with using coins to buy things?

The aim seems to be to avoid using the term, 'it is believed to be a diesel-fuelled vehicle'.

Remember, there has been a more recent press release that says, "The vehicle involved was diesel-powered – it was not a mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle."

Do you think that statement was true?

Give examples from published legal writings.

No. It specifically differs from your misconception by the act of embellishing something that patently does not need it.

And of course, the whole saying is a misquote. "To gild refined gold, to paint the lily..." [Shakespeare; King John]

The aim seems to be to avoid using the term, 'it is believed to be a diesel-fuelled vehicle'. Just using one-size-fits-all deals with that thorny issue.

Perhaps in those cases there weren't conspiracy nutters claiming the original vehicle was an EV, when it wasn't, so there was no need to specify the fuel type.

"Well he would, wouldn't he?", Mandy Rice-Davies.

No, I didn't say that he said he was doing it because it was in the national interest, I said that you said he was doing it because it was in the national interest.

As any fule no, back in the days of yore the most plentiful source of copper was horse **** (hence fossilised poo being called copralite: the copper had been removed, so it was copper light).

Likewise, zinc was distilled from pig **** (although modern English has not memorialised this connection, due to forrin interference. Blame the Normans, that's what I do).

The Upper Classes used the forelock-tugging deference inherent in the proles to claim all livestock feces as their birthright, thereby retaining all brass for themselves*, and creating a coinless underclass that had to make do with root vegetable based barter.

This system famously collapsed when Ian Anderson discovered that bull **** was a better source of both elements.

*This is where the tradition of referring to the well-to-do as 'Lord/Lady Muck' originates. Originally an honorific, it only took on it's modern meaning in the Progressive era that Anderson was a part of.

<Insert Wayne's World We are not worthy meme>

That language was superseded with language that is confident and unequivocal. It is no longer thorny except in your addled imagination. Every attempt to point you to that unequivocal language sends you running.

Read my original post explaining why I believe information is being withheld. Sunak himself said he had no working class friends. The whole ethos of the press releases seems to be 'it wasn't an EV and that's all you (the public) need to know'. It is well known that the anti-EV stereotype is of a reactionary SUN reading ignoramus who hates Khan and ULEZ. Sunak OTOH is not known for being transparent about his very lucrative financial affairs. So yes, there is almost certainly something in it for him and his wife to protect the JLR brand IMV. As a UK taxpayer this attitude annoys me.

...and:
If you cannot see that the current UK Prime Minister is possibly the most corrupt of corruptist Prime Ministers of all, then nothing I can say can help you. When Sunak was elected by party members, I was on his side. I was fooled by his seemingly alert affability and ready SOH. His family, too, seemed adorable. As a business person, I understood the concept of maximising profit and optimizing how little tax one should pay. However, I am also a strong believer in ethics and ethical and transparent behaviour in politics and enterprise, and it is patently clear that there is a D-Notice on reporting EV fires, in particular, any of the Tata JLR brand. I know that time will prove me right.

Muck and brass was not equated to working hard. The northern slagheaps - which were dug out of muck - were equated with wealth for the wealthy, not the hard workers.

Absolute gibberish.

Provide evidence that everyone else is wrong about the etymology and meaning of this extremely well known phrase and also while you're at it, answer my other questions to you.

Sunak has regular meetings with key personnel, including the security agencies, together with a whole team of special advisers. That doesn't mean he doesn't also have personal interests because one's spouse does not count. Sunak sold his Infosys shares to his wife, so now he is free to give Infosys a huge contract, yet remain completely innocent of breaking the ministerial code, which requires declaration of interests and conflicts of interest.

Ministerial code section 7.3

On appointment to each new office, Ministers must provide
their Permanent Secretary with a full list in writing of all interests
which might be thought to give rise to a conflict. The list should also cover interests of the Minister’s spouse or partner and close
family which might be thought to give rise to a conflict.

I see a contradiction here which I put down to someone plucking a claim directly from their arse.

Vixen,

I want to be sure I understand what you are saying about the Luton fire.

I think you've said that it started with a thermal runaway. What sorts of engines have thermal runaways? That is, are any internal combustion engines susceptible to thermal runaways, or must it be an EV or hybrid of some sort?

(I'm only asking about commercially available passenger automobiles, if that helps.)

Thanks.

Oh look, someone has proved Vixen's ignorant pontificating wrong again! I wonder if that will be ignored, or if there will be an attempt to smear the poster?
