Cont: Luton Airport Car Park Fire III

...A low-grade diesel fire, which any fireman will tell you can easily be put out by an extinguisher at an early stage...
Is what you've assumed based on nothing more than your own arrogance. Find us one firefighter who will actually affirm that assertion. You even assume that the person using the fire extinguisher was knowledgeable about how to use one against a car fire.

Even if that was true, you'd then have to explain why there hasn't been a global outcry from all firefighters calling ******** on the report that a diesel car started the fire in question. You end up having to implicate the field of firefighting in toto, or place Sunak at the apex of a conspiracy so powerful that it can silence every firefighter on earth, in the same way that Apollo deniers have to make millions of physicists and engineers the world over for the last half century either too stupid to see the flaws in the claim or fully committed to maintaining the hoax. You end up making your nefarious "Them" clever enough to silence all professional dissent, but comically inept enough to invent a scenario that is easily disproved by the hoi polloi on the internet because it relies on supposedly impossible events.

...turn an entire car park into a burning inferno with ceilings and cars crashing down[?]
The same way a single shrub ignited by a burning cigarette can lead to a forest fire.

It takes time for a vehicle to reach a sufficient temperature to radiate enough heat to cause nearby vehicles to ignite.

Everything takes time. The question is, how quickly can a car be consumed in flames? You seem to have been deliberately vague about that. You've already been shown videos in which cars have gone from a condition similar to that of the Luton case, to fully engulfed in rolling flames in a few minutes.

But that doesn't fit the only reality that you want to exist, so you'll ignore it.

1935 P-Type by the look of that mudguard?

He's done some mileage in that beast- crossed Australia from the west coast to the east coast back in 2014, that trip with the Hilux was about 3000km round trip in it... (the Hilux came from and went further north than the MG did)

Would have been fun (not lol) driving it across the Simpson Desert...
Driving it across Australia is almost exactly the same distance as driving from the west coast to the east coast of the 'lower 48' in the US...
(3900km/2400 miles)
Love his number plate...

That deep fake video came out remarkably fast.

LICKSPITTLE TOADY (LT): Boss! We now have the power to create a fake video of a burning diesel car in the event that one of our incredibly dangerous lithium ion batteries explodes with the heat of a thousand supernovas and melts an...

BLACK HOODED FIGURE IN SHADOW (BHFIS): Supernovae.

LT: ...What?

BHFIS: The plural of supernova is supernovae.

LT: Yes, thank you Boss. If of our battery explodes with the heat of a thousand supernovae and melts an entire parking garage with its incredible energy, we can fake a video of a normally perfectly harmless gasoline or diesel car to blame it on.

BHFIS: Excellent. Excellent! [diabolical laughter]

LT: [obsequious laughter]

BHFIS: And how long will this take?

LT: Only a couple of weeks.

BHFIS: A couple of WEEKS?

LT: [cringing] Well, if we use too many people to make it the risk of exposure gets higher. And we're already stretched with buying off or intimidating all the police and firefighters.

BHFIS: That won't do. We'll have to make the video, then stage the battery fire so we can blame it on a diesel shortly after.

LT: We'll get right on it!

BHFIS: And don't do anything stupid like put informative signage to try and make it look more airporty. Even an idiot would see right through that.

This looks remarkably familiar! Were you ever a skit-writer for "That Mitchell and Webb Look" ?

The guy in the video says he got it from a worker at Gatwick, who claims the picture shows the car that started the fire.
How were you able to verify the truth of this claim?

We cannot get the information from the usual national press, that's for sure.

By which I assume you did absolutely nothing to verify the claim.
Then you have the unmitigated gall, when the claim is that the car that started the Luton fire was a diesel, to demand this:

Citation of official confirmation, please.

The clear evidential double standard you have is a sure sign of confirmation bias.
"The Gatwick fire was started by an EV, because an anti-EV YouTuber says a worker says it was, and I believe him."
And, at the same time,
"I will not accept the Luton fire was started by a diesel until I see official confirmation!"

Despite the fact that official confirmation has been given!

Yeah, that too!

You two should have learned by now that the presentation of facts and evidence, no matter how strong or definite, will never work. They will never be accepted if they contradict that personal, predetermined conclusion. It's like a sheep who thinks it can fly... "Once they get an idea in their heads, there's no shifting it"

Sheep can fly, but there's a D-notice press embargo preventing anyone from publishing proof of this fact.

You have no ******* idea. Unlike you, I have had a car catch fire.

It was my cherished Mk1 Lotus Cortina (petrol powered), and even though I had a fire extinguisher, and had it in my hands within seconds, I was unable to prevent my car being destroyed. The fire was under the bonnet, I couldn't get the bonnet open (because the heat had already damaged the bonnet release) and there was no way to get to the base of the fire. In less that a minute the whole car was engulfed.

One in five ICE fires start in the 12 volt electrical system, and this was the most likely cause of my fire, and the Range Rover in question.

Oh, and I don't give a rats arse about your stupid, ever changing conspiracy theory. That Range Rover was the cause.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ho-Arena-car-park-six-months-4x4-recalls.html

Investigators believe the blaze was started when a diesel Range Rover suffered an electrical fault or leaking fuel line.

I will take the word of actual, certified fire investigators over some Nancy Nobody conspiracy theorist on the internet.

Citation please of where 'actual, certified fire investigators' confirmed the vehicle to be a Range Rover. Your claim that you know its make, model and registration number comes straight from a poorly written blog without any citation of sources. Just someone's guesswork, rather like the tweeter who tried to match a photo of a serial knifer with images from the internet and came up with completely the wrong person all together. (55,000 views, at one point.)

Sure the vehicle in the CCTV clip is a JLR model but it hasn't been confirmed by anyone official it was the initial vehicle.

Stop trying to shoe horn a straight forward current affairs item into a conspiracy theory.

It has been confirmed by someone official that the car where the fire started was a diesel. How will knowing the specific model change that?

Yes, where they are parked next to each other. One such scenario in the USA is where the guy had an accelerant repair job done on his vehicle and the consequent fire quickly caught on to other vehicles. There is always an exceptional reason for something to seemingly self-combust within seconds. According to the car parking document, it takes at least 300 seconds (five minutes) for a near-fully burning vehicle to cause a car parked next to it to successfully ignite. The guy in the CCTV wasn't parked next to anyone so in order to radiate heat towards other vehicles to cause spontaneous ignition needs it to heat to circa 500 °C IIRC. Yet the fire brigade were there within minutes and the guy was present when the fire started, although it might have taken him a while before he noticed it. Given the appearance of the flames in the CCTV and the white/grey appearance of the flames and smoke and its location, there is nothing at all unreasonable in the fire being identified as a lithium-ion one given such a fire burns at a MUCH higher temperature than diesel fuel or flame-resistant complex plastics.

I will wait for September for the facts, not some 'it is believed'-type opinion.
