If there is one thing you have demonstrated it is that having faith in one's ability to think critically is quite different from having an ability to think critically.

If we accept that definition, then it is remotely possible that Vixen is not lying. She might be fully aware that her continuing and deliberate apparent attempts to deceive are not actually deceiving anyone. If so, then her apparently deliberate attempts to deceive could be interpreted as deliberate attempts to create the appearance of attempting to deceive, which might not be exactly the same thing as deliberate attempts to deceive.

Having contributed that sophistric defense of Vixen's apparent lies, I confess I either (1) have no idea concerning why Vixen might deliberately attempt to convince us she is lying or (2) prefer not to speculate further.

You're the one failing to understand plain English.

If the fire service did not confirm that the car was a diesel, then Full Fact are indeed lying. That is, on the evidence presented in this thread, considerably less likely than you misunderstanding what was said or lying about your understanding.

So basically it comes down to "Who do you believe, Full Fact or Vixen?" That's a toughy....

So, how long does this absurdity have to continue to allow a fringe reset of the Estonia thread?
