The TAM4 plague!

I'd also like to publicly thank my own back which, after making me miserable Thursday and Friday, suddenly bucked up and was terrific enough for me to climb around all over Red Rocks Canyon in a way I haven't been able to for 7 months. I dunno what happened, but I hope it lasts!

I had a mild cold for the entire TAM but I know I caught it from my 2 year-old niece while I was in Calgary prior to TAM. Wasn't bad enough to keep me from gambling and partying to the wee hours every night.

Don't stone me all at once though. My car's dead. I know for a fact, having checked it twice before I left, that I didn't leave the lights or anything else at all on. It's not my fuses either (I drive a Volvo, the fuses are easy to check). I had a battery mysteriously deplete on my last month, and I assumed I'd left the lights on. In retrospect, I probably have a short.

So, health = peachy. Car = crapppy.
 
I don't think I've ever gotten sick from playing slot machines - just broke...:)

I didn't bring a cold or other virus home with me, but my work was still here when I arrived at my job on Monday. :mad:
 
I got it too. I am not a well bug.
And, unfortunately, because of a new drug I'm taking for migranes, I can no longer take decongestants.

The goober of doom is lodged behind my left eyebrow.
Ugh.
 
The smokey casino air induced a histamine response, making me feel like I was coming down with a cold.

Once back home in smoke-free California, I was fine.

Fine until today, when my 40-yr old Van de Graaff generator crapped out in the middle of class. I used the Britney and Led Zep Wiseman clips to entertain the kids while I made futile attempts to repair. My poor Van de Graaff!
 
Methinks the casinos switched to the sanitation dispensers after all the machines went coinless. They require less maintence than the individual sanitary hand wipes and do not produce any garbage aside from the refill container. Also, your hands do not get as dirty from the machines anymore; no more touching all those coins. Gotta hand it to the sanitation service for capitalizing on this one.

Ah Ha! So that's where this sore throat, headach and generally crappy feeling came from- You know who you are! (Now I'm drinking lot's of fluids and had a nice steak earlier, so hopefully will survive. And TAM4 WAS worth it....)
 
I guess that I am thankful that I have had my flu shot this year. It has kept me out of a lot of trouble. Though the smoke is still causing problems for my sinuses. That could have been a bit of a problem.
