Thanks a lot for the link! You made it easy.
What - that unless the USA stops aiding Ukraine he'll send him back?![]()
And he just cannot help himself by running his mouth...
His defense that while President he declassified the documents so nah nah nah he couldn't have violated the law is disproven BY HIMSELF:
https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/09/politics/trump-tape-didnt-declassify-secret-information/index.html
I can't help but wonder WHY? He was either selling information to foreign countries and/or Trump is monumentally arrogant and stupid. Trump arrogantly decided that he was and is above the law. He decided for himself that he was entitled to all these documents and NARA and the FBI could go pound sand.
But unless one is profiting from these boxes and boxes of documents, the reason and rationality keeping and hiding them is just bizarre.
Trump is not exactly known for either of those qualities.
While he may have been selling them, or otherwise profiting from their contents, there is no evidence of that AFAIK.
It was hubris, he just likes pointing out that he can do whatever the **** he wants whenever the **** he wants without consequence.
It could be both you know.I can't help but wonder WHY? He was either selling information to foreign countries and/or Trump is monumentally arrogant and stupid.
The response will be: "This time, plenty of cops and handcuffs will be ready and waiting for them...""Do anything to me and my army of trolls will storm the Capitol again" is all he needs.

Trump has no sense of propriety or rules. It's his crocodilian brain stem alone that rules him. It's all about him, right now, all the time. What we call cheating is to him getting the job done. To us, it's stealing nuclear secrets. To him, it's taking souvenirs. This is a man who had fake Time covers of himself made up, framed, and hung prominently in his offices and personal spaces. His primary motivation in life is impressing people.
I see no evidence that he sold or even (intentionally) conveyed any of this information to foreign countries, or ever planned to. In my opinion, Trump kept them for no other reason than to do what he was caught on tape doing: showing them off to other people to try and impress them and/or win arguments.
This is, at a fundamental level, no different from that ANG analyst who leaked classified docs to his Discord buddies purely to prove that he had access to them.
Trump thinks he's above the law because at no point yet in his 76 years has he been at any point under the law.
We keep acting like him assuming he won't get away with it is HIM being unreasonable. This is the timeline were he does indeed get to **** around and never find out.
And at this point it's too late. He's 76 and not exactly a ringing endorsement of healthy lifestyles and so much of.... *gestures widely* what he's doing is uncharted legal territory (and political and social and just... everything territory) anything that happens is going to wrapped up in appeals and litigation and Constitutional arguing for so long Trump WILL die of old age before anything of consequence happens to him.
At best, at BEST it's years down the road and we get "Senile and adult diaper being feed Jello in a secure old folk's prison" Trump for like... a year or two tops.
We might, might convict a hollow shell walking corpse after the point it no longer matters to anything but the symbolism.
It could be both you know.
I suspect Trump could have just nipped on down to the local coffee shop, photocopied the classified material, return the originals when the government asked for them, and sell the copy.
