Something occurred to me when I hit this bit:How seriously should we take the claims of David Grusch? He is an airforce veteran and former member of the UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) task force, which is enough to at least hear him out. He gave an exclusive interview to journalist Ross Coulthart from NewsNation, part of which has been made public. This is sure to stoke the flames of UFO conspiracy theorists, and the media is, of course, loving it. But what is he actually saying, and what is the evidence?...
Seems to me that for a civilisation that is able to cross interstellar space to come here, they seem to crash or abandon their ships rather a lot. They cross the vast gulf between stars, only to crash their ship and let their bodies be recovered by the natives? That alone strains credibility. But he goes further to claim that this program has recovered many crashed or abandoned craft...

My guess is that for as long as there is a US Senator personally invested in the idea, people like this will continue to riddle the intelligence services.Really we should be questioning the quality of Grusch's government work, and the suitability of his supervisors for same.
Nobody should be complacent about the the implication that one's premier intelligence services are riddled with people like this and the people that hire them and oversee their work.

Wait - I see that Harry Reid died in 2021. Never mind.
