Yes, I just looked that up before I posted. Then I asked you how it would influence the Sun and the Earth. Care to answer?

Hans

Electric currents of course. Our solar system plasma is being dragged across a magnetic field... what happens to the plasma?

Pretty important stuff apparently.

What are you trying to calculate?

I thought that was obvious: the electromagnetic forces acting on the sun that might affect its galactic orbit.

Why don’t you try something a little closer.

The forces between a charged sun and the charged earth. See how ya go.

Wait... are you trying to argue that the earth's orbit is affected significantly by electromagnetic forces?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Okay, okay, I'll be serious...

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Okay, for real now.

Sure, I can do the calculations, since obviously you can't. Just tell me what charges you think I should use.

Well it would do this, of course.

"When the flow penetrates into the plasmasphere, where the plasma is dense, the background electrons neutralize, or short circuit, the polarization electric fields inside the flow," explained Mishin.

"As a result, the hot electrons stop but hot ions penetrate further Earthward, creating an enhanced electric field in the sub-auroral zone. This process works as a power plant at the plasmapause converting the kinetic energy of incoming plasma flows into the electromagnetic energy."

"Our approach is a step beyond MHD," explained Mishin. "We use a novel concept developed to understand numerous laboratory experiments investigating the penetration of plasma jets through magnetic barriers. We expanded on this concept to include the short-circuiting process and plasma turbulence effects."

That’s what I’d expect. What were you trying to do? Move the earth in orbit or something?

So then please show us the electric sun circuit, and please denote what the battery is that is driving it all.

Or battery, take your pick.

Just replace the Earths plasmasphere with the Suns plasma sphere... same same.

You asked about the forces between the earth and the sun. What you just posted isn’t about forces between the earth and sun. Ask a stupid question, you’ll get a stupid answer.

And it’s funny, but the only links you can provide about plasma stuff which actually contain data or calculations are all mainstream sources. It’s almost like mainstream physics knows what they are doing, and EU nut jobs have nothing to contribute.

Because that’s the truth.

What do you think happens to the plasma? I've already explained why no charged particles, other than those with relativistic energies, can enter the heliosphere. So, where are you getting currents from to power the Sun? Or to do anything related to the Sun's orbital acceleration around the galaxy?
The solar wind is carrying a magnetic field with it all the way to the heliopause. Where it will pile up against the ISM field. If I remember correctly, the plasma then has nowhere to go, so moves 'up' or 'down', and becomes part of the heliotail.
Neutrals from the ISM can enter the heliosphere, and are seen to do so. The ISM is ~ 80% neutrals, BTW. However, there is only so far they can penetrate, before becoming ionised, at which point they will just get picked up, and become part of the solar wind, flowing outward.

The claims, from the likes of Peratt and Lerner, picked up on by your mythologists, that EM effects can explain rotation curves of galaxies without dark matter. As explained, it is trivially easy to show why that is not possible.

However, you flip flop from one bit of woo to another, so it is hard to figure out which particular woo you are talking about. If it is the 'electric sun' woo, then that is also trivially shown to be impossible.

No, of course not.
If you would understand anything about physics you would understand that the flow that Mishin is talking about NEEDS TO BE GENERATED!!!
Do you think that these jets in "the penetration of plasma jets through magnetic barriers" just spontaneously emerge from nothing? (probably)

A generator of electric fields...

Protostars of any kind are incredibly violent as they form. Material swirls down onto the protostars, building their mass, but as the protostars heat up they interact with those same surroundings. The movement of gas and dust can form incredibly strong electric and magnetic fields. Those fields then funnel some of the gas around the star to form jets. A similar process plays out around supermassive black holes, but at a much larger scale.

In the case of the HH 24 complex, the astronomers have observed five thin, narrow jets emanating from the central core. These jets are wrapped by magnetic field lines that give them their shape. All together the jets extend for at least five light years away from the core.

Wait, what happened to the currents coming in from afar to power your "ELECTRIC SUN" or perhaps even this electric orphaned protostar?

Your own quoted source puts the energy source as simple kinetic energy. Much like a, well, "generator". Even remarking to the similarity (though smaller scale) to the dynamo effect from supermassive black holes we've noted in the membrane paradigm.

The same currents that form the star you mean? Or different currents?

How?

Form/power, whichever.

By being hot and moving as what you quoted notes. For the supermassive black hole similarity noted. IIRC the magnetic field of the rotating blackhole drives the hot and subsequently ionized particles from the accretion disk and out the poles. Both the accretion disk and driving body (blackhole or protostar) should lose rotational kinetic energy as it is dumped to the jets.

It’s a real mystery, ay?

The very electric currents that form the star also powers it.

What would happen if this orphaned protostar wandered into our neighbourhood?
