MUSK gets BOOED for MINUTES at CHAPPELLE / ROCK show

Some accounts characterized Musk as seeming surprised and bewildered by his reception. He may have thought all along that he was revered and beloved by the general population, that his crazed internet fans are actually representative of the whole.

It isn't trending on Twitter because he's literally banning accounts that have shared it.

Free speech!

Are there any trustworthy/verified sources that show the video has been taken down?

(I did find an article on a site called WeGotThisCovered that points out that the video has been taken down by Twitter, but I am not sure what type of verification they do on stories.)

Of course I'm not sure why they would ban the video, since according to Musk (onTwitter):
Technically, it was 90% cheers & 10% boos (except during quiet periods)

Maybe they weren't booing... instead they were calling for B-urns from the simpsons.

The account that posted it has been deleted. I guess there are at least three possibilities there: the guy decided he didn't want this kind of attention, Musk's army of weird nerd's harassed him until he deleted his account, or twitter did it.

Given that I've seen it reposted many times, that it now trending, and Musk has gutted the moderation team, I'd guess that the first two possibilities are most likely.

In any case, a nice way to start the day.

For the day so far, Tesla is down 6%, Dow Jones up 1%.
Since the pandemic however, Tesla is up 300%, Dow Jones up 15%.
Room for Tesla to collapse in price and make Twitter a massive burden for Elon.

TSLA was trading at around $280*** when the Twitter loan terms were drawn up... its now down to $168. It cannot be much further to go before the banks can start making margin calls/force sells.

***actually around $850 but there has since been a 3:1 stock split.

Here's a fun question for everyone:

Every once in a while you'll see the mega lottery jackpot break a new record. It goes into the hundreds of millions that, for most of us, would feel like an infinite amount of cash. And in these moments you can't help but daydream a little and wonder what it would be like. What would you do with all that money? Travel around the world? Buy the biggest lakeside mansion ever? Devote yourself to your hobbies in a way you never thought possible and live out the rest of your days in bliss?

Or... did you think you'd be spreading conspiracy theories on Twitter, making an ass of yourself in public, and sleeping in an office rather than your home, all the while being estranged from both your children and their mothers?

That's exactly what it was - this may well have been the first time that he has ever appeared before a crowd that was not made up of actual dedicated Tesla/SpaceX/Musk fans who were there specifically to see him, so it had to have been a solid culture-shock.

Chappelle is anti-trans and possibly shares some other political views in common with Musk, so perhaps Musk thought Chappelle's audience would be a safe venue for him. Even I'm a little surprised at just how badly it went.

I just saw a screenshot of a Tweet from Musk, he's edited his memory and now claims there were "maybe 10%" booing compared to "90% cheering", and characterized the 10% as crazed leftists.

Hah, that's great - yeah, you know how it is with Dave Chappelle and those crazed leftist fans of his.

Sadly there's a YouTube video, and while I don't think it's really possible to quantify just what percentage of cheering there was, it was very, veeeeeery not 90%. Like, I could make out the individual cheers.

If I had Elon Musk type money, I'd like to think that'd I'd try and do something really useful, and for the betterment of mankind with it. Although, what with him being... not normal (I won't make the determination that he is mentally ill or not)... I can see him seeing himself as doing just that.

With that being said, I'd certainly make sure I have enough to live a very very comfortable life for forever. Put it this way, he was at one point worth over $100 billion... thats the ability to spend a million dollars A DAY for the rest of your life without even getting close to exhausting it all.

He still thinks he is a universally beloved hero.

I assumed it was fake when I saw it. It looked too much like a riff on the "Don't put in the article that I got mad" joke.

Totally real, though.

This is like 99% of the Musk mythology. The mildest criticism of Musk will have weird nerds jumping in like the ninjas in an episode of Kung Fu, the Legend Continues saying, "He's taking us to Mars!", "He's saving the environment with EVs!", "He's saving free speech!", etc.

I think the post where I originally said this was removed as part of a tangent; but at all of his companies, including now Twitter, he surrounds himself with people who spend all day reassuring him that he is the main character of reality.

I'm surprised anybody cheered Elmo at all. What's to cheer? I didn't hear nearly enough boos.

Ever since Chappelle went on his "I need to whine and explain myself to all the complainers" tour I've found him to be a bit pathetic. Tired of his Urkel voice anyways.
