Well educated people are more likely to recognize when they can use the propaganda to their own personal advantage. They do not have to fall for it to do that

Sure. With that said, though, it's probably worth noting that much intellectually bankrupt propaganda does tend to have appeal - emotional appeal. Further, it's emotions that tend to sway most people most of the time, rather than intellect. More educated people will tend to be in a better position to see how intellectually bankrupt a position may be, but they're hardly immune to letting things pass without actually checking based on the emotional appeal.
 
To poke at a couple things that may be of some interest -

Speaking of the Baltic States, there just happens to be something of interest that popped up.

So the nazi unit Rusich asked their subscribers to send in details of military units, employees and other secret information in the Baltic, as they call them, "provisional" republics.

Lots of details about military units, border posts, border surveillance, patrol routes, security systems and communications towers, fuel depots and their defenses... Not particularly innocent requests by a military which already had rather open desires to reconquer the Baltic states.

Elsewhere, Vladimir Putin 'has plan to flee to South America if he loses war in Ukraine' according to a former speechwriter of Putin's.

Unintended consequences? Being named Time's Person Of The Year has made Musk's head swell more, leading to him to do more stupid things.

I don't think that will happen to Zelenskyy though. He has always been focused on one thing - kicking Russia out of Ukraine. If he succeeds then Time might have to name him Person Of The Year twice!

If you think you're the smartest person in the room, you're probably about to make another mistake.

(unfortunately, this seems to be one of those things that, although true, is often apparent only in hindsight. If then.)

I said this some months ago, but the "west" should make him an offer that him and any of his cronies that want to leave Russia may do so. And they may load up one jet with as much gold and other valuables that they can and we'll let them fly to Brazil* . If the plane disappears somewhere over the South Atlantic... oh well.

*although once Bolsonaro is no longer president they may not accept them.

The amount of priceless cultural artifacts and kidnapped Ukrainian children that would go missing in such a scheme is unconscionable.

It would be precluded by Putin stepping down as a head of state of Russia and the new guy in charge not really giving a flying **** about Putin. Although I have to think that Putin is not quite dumb enough to not have some sort of mechanism to guarantee his safety were he to flee Russia. If not, then even if the west doesn't disappear him, then Ukraine will likely put a nice fat bounty on his head anyways, if not send in their own hit squads to wherever Putin goes. I mean he is to Ukraine what bin Laden was to the USA times about 1000 at this point.

Its just nice to fantasize sometimes.

I do enjoy fantasizing about letting Putin walk away scott free - maybe even with a stipend and a dacha somewhere - IF it meant getting something of really amazing value in return. All of Ukraine. All of the cultural artifacts stolen from Ukraine. All of the Ukrainians stolen from Ukraine. I'd give Putin a lot of personal security and comfort guarantees in exchange for those things.

I don't enjoy fantasizing about letting Putin load up a plane with literal loot from his crimes and flying off into the sunset.
