No one is upset. There is a cottage industry of online outrage. It simply generates noise and keeps the talking heads in the news cycle. They are just driving "engagement". The right-wing hack gives a stupid, overtly-bigoted take. Liberals on Twitter react (often just to point and laugh). The right-wing hack claims he is "triggering the libs" and plugs his subscription, merchandise, or sponsors.

I disagree with just the first sentence.
This is likely to feature somewhere in the next 3 or 4 Jordan Klepper MAGA rally vids. And they will be mad.
The fun part?
The frothing excuses will be wide ranging, contradictory, and make little if any sense. [emoji1]

Unlike most (I'm guessing) of the frothy repubs, I'll admit I hadn't heard of glass flutes (or crystal in this high end example. Only a couple hundred made).
My first thought was it would be extremely high pitched, piccolo maybe, but an article that day explained it avoids the issues of wood and humidity.
Then came the metalworkers (which I hadn't considered in my first thoughts) and... no more glass flutes. [emoji3525]
So the crystal is delicate but sturdy, and hadn't been heard in a couple centuries... I say, good on the Institution for getting it back out briefly.
(I haven't watched any vid... how'd it sound?)

But Lizzo -- born Melissa Viviane Jefferson in Detroit -- is from the Rap world and you KNOW how wingers feel about rap. And Lizzo is, well she's from the Rap world.

Here she is on stage playing the glass flute. (And playing it pretty well, I must say. Listen to the Youtube video).

If we were slightly kinder than the headline writer of the link, it looks like Walker is trying to conflate a lack of belief in Walker's claimed redemption (lack of belief based on pretty firm grounds) with no belief in redemption, period.

Yeah, Walker is the kind of person who really, really should have no part in setting policy.

there was a joke going around on fb comments section that Lizzo may have actually hit the elusive brown note, considering how a whole lot of cons just lost their ****.

The specific complaint may not be completely without merit. The remedy, however, is WTF?

Because it helps Black Americans, Republican Wisconsin group sues over student loan forgiveness

Headline altered to replace conservative with Republican. I'm not particularly interested in repeating/buying the questionable facade that's created by that reframing to conservative. And yeah, it's that blatant. Black Americans might end up benefiting more in practice, therefore it must be stopped.

Doug Mastriano bizarrely pledged to ban pole dancing from schools if he is elected governor of Pennsylvania

This is pretty well in the "Why are the GOP so intensely focused on murdering parody?" category, I suppose. Sadly, their hard turn into fascism already answers that.

Erickson is also supposedly pro-life, but he paid for his girlfriend's abortion. Seems to be the 'thang' for GOP pro-lifer. Not for thee, but for me!

Ah, yes....when I was teaching, pole dancing was all the rage for the primary group.:rolleyes:

They also loved Story Time with Fifty Shades of Gray Haired Grandma Screws the Wolf, Lady Chatterley of Sunnybrook Farm, The Happy Captain Hooker, Dora Does Dallas, and Dr. Seuss' Kama Sutra.
