This guy here claims to have identified the type of wheel that could be seen in the July 2021 expedition video. He says the wheel is of a type used by Russian military and designed to bear a weight of 60 tonnes.

And who is Lennart Remstam? Why should we give his opinion any weight?

Oh, I take it back! He 'proved' that the Estonia's visor could float in his kitchen sink. No wonder he has amassed whole 612 subscribers, after a mere 13 years! That's real science for ya!

How does it differ from any other truck wheel?

Does he say which vehicles it is fitted to?

What point is he making?

News Update

Henrik Evertsson and Linus Andersson are to face trial again under the terms of allegedly breaking the Estonia Grave Site Treaty. They had been acquitted last year because it was adjudged the wreck is in international waters, so there was no jurisdiction. An Appeal Court has upheld the Swedish state prosecutor's appeal and it looks like the two men will now be tried again. I believe Evertsson lives in Norway and Andersson in Finland (AIUI from newspaper interviews), so it might not happen until they set foot on Swedish soil.

ERR

So...why didn't Sweden disappear them at some point? Why didn't the Swedish Navy jam the research vessel's coms, send commandos onboard, kill everyone, and hustle the ship out into the North Atlantic in the dead of night to sink it with all hands? Why not send a sub out there to zap their ROV?

How is taking these clowns to court consistent with the conspiracy they're alleging to be true?

By which you mean the July 2021 criminal trespass video.

(Oh and there's no denying: that guy's analysis is extremely compelling - I'm a convert!)

I think he's mistaken. Just eyeballing it I'd say the wheel on the ship has its bolts more widely spaced so there will be fewer.

Trying to count half a circumference, it's not entirely clear but I reckon it's most likely 22 bolts around the rim. He thinks it's a wheel with a 24-bolt pattern.

Anyway, how does a Russian military transporter on the Estonia fit with the rest of Vixen’s narratives?

Why would they need to when they have the Estonia Gravesite Treaty to smack them with?

Not really sure what the point is. The Russian manufacturers who make these also make and sell civilian vehicles from the same chassis, so I don't see how he can claim to know that it's a military vehicle, rather than just a heavy-duty utility vehicle just from the wheel.

And all of this is putting the cart before the horse, anyway, since Vixen has yet to make a case that we're even in the market for an alternative theory of how the Estonia sank, let alone how the presence of a BTR 80 or whatever would lend any support for that theory.

Two witnesses came forward to said they saw military vehicles being loaded onto the vessel at the last minute (Hedrenius, Övberg).

Actual military vehicles, or ordinary trucks being escorted to the docks by uniformed men? Got a reliable reference for what exactly was claimed?

On the same subject, how much doubt really is there about what goods vehicles were aboard? I would have thought the shipping line would have some record of what was carried. Insurers would have investigated losses. I'm not saying it would all necessarily be in the public domain, but it's hard to imagine that records don't exist.

The July 2021 expedition is the official state-approved one. So, wrong yet again.

:D Thing is, I don't really care.

The only point of substance related to your post about that video is related to the ludicrous "analysis" which attempts to identify a blurry, murky wheel/tyre of a heavy vehicle with a specific Russian military vehicle.

But hey, whatever floats sinks your boat...

(ETA: I enjoyed the "yet again" flourish - the irony!)

I enjoy how you're (apparently) blissfully unaware that all over the world, shipwrecks - both military and non-military - which are known or suspected to contain the bodies of people who went down with their ship, are protected as grave sites. In precisely the same way as the Estonia wreck is protected. You try hiring an ROV and a surface support trip and sending the ROV down to snoop around the Titanic wreck, you'll receive precisely the same kind of treatment.

But no.... in Vixen's bizarro-world, the classification and protection of the Estonia wreck as a grave site is somehow sinister and nefarious. In her world, it's nothing more than a blunt instrument to prevent *ahem* "truth-seekers" from doing their own assessment of the wreck.

LOL

Vixen, have you found your references and citations for the following claims, you said you'd find sources for them.

1. Erich Moik was fired by Estline for saying that Piht was seen on TV.

2. Captain Andresson was under contract to ensure punctuality.

3. The Atlantic lock was only added to the bow visor to give an illusion of safety.

Right, so Sweden murders crew members because they might be a threat to secret operations. But arrests two guys who are an actual threat to - in your view - the huge Swedish state secret of mass murder in the sinking of the MS Estonia.

If convicted they'll face a fine, and maybe deferred jail sentences.

But why would the Russians put their own vehicles on a ferry that they were planning to sink (with “military precision”, indeed)?
